Gaming Nintendo promotion. Any limit to the codes that can be redeemed?

In the January promotion (in the UK) you received a code for a free game (art academy, Mario Land, Layton etc.) and you could redeem as many as you had. I bought Mario and Layton codes off a forum and both worked.

Anyone know if the current 'so many games' promotion is the same or are they linked to your account somehow?

I ask as I am looking to trade my physical carts for download codes of the same games but don't want to end up with a bunch of codes I cannot redeem and no carts...plus I will qualify for a free game code myself.

Anyone gone through this and received a code not linked to their account (and someone else has used it) or redeemed more than one?

Only one code per account can be redeemed.

The codes themselves are generic and can be redeemed on the same account, however you can only request one code if you want to partake in the promotion yourself.

Is there any confirmation of the 'one code' Giratina?

The faq says the code can be redeemed on any 3DS...i realise you can only claim on code when you have three qualifying games but I was thinking of someone who got a Luigi code for instance trading for my physical copy, could I then do the same with say Fire Emblem and so one...and still claim my free code that the physical copies I already registered qualify me for?
Its not that complicated if it works the same as the January promotion.

I'm pretty certain only "one" code can be redeemed, but not on multiple systems, that's like giving someone a free copy of Fire Emblem. Common sense really.

Think we have cross wires here...i know its commons sense that you cant use a code on multiple systems, i am talking about a code sent to a customer via email which is then redeemed in the eshop, not one that has already been registered. It would be locked to the system it is redeemed on...in this case mine. I am asking if there is any limit to how many of these free codes can be used on one system.
The january promotion had no limit, the code could be used once on any system and was in no way linked to a certain account...a bit like a playstation code which could be used only once.

You can use your free code to download your chosen game onto any Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS system with access to Nintendo eShop via an Internet connection (acceptance of the Nintendo 3DS Service User Agreement and Privacy Policy required). You cannot, however, download the same game onto multiple Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL systems.
