CATSFC has been featured on a new Chinese Forum thread: http://bbs.supercard.sc/thread-45505-1-1.html
CATSFC has been featured on a new Chinese Supercard site page: http://chn.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/catsfc/
My CATSFC thread on the English Forum has been stickied: http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-11194-1-1.html
The Supercard Team may issue a download on the official site soon. Stay tuned!

CATSFC 1.34, the GUI Loose Ends Edition, is released. As its name implies, it fixes a lot of things that were subtly wrong with the GUI.
* It now has 8 rows, for denser information in the file selector and cheat interface.
* The saved state menu now always shows the screenshot of the saved state you're dealing with, even when creating or deleting them (!).
* Rapid button presses and releases should be ignored much less often.
* Button auto-repeating in the menu is now set to 1/20 second instead of 1/5, with the first repetition at half a second.
* The position in a submenu is kept in case you want to enter the submenu again.

Lol they even used your avatar as the top screen
My avatar comes from a screenshot I took for this thread to show off the anti-aliased screen mode in CATSFC; I also uploaded it to Filetrip, which is where they must have taken the original picture. They also took the interface preview picture for the Bottom Screen. I like how that page looks, to be honest! It's a pretty good infographic.

Post a screenshot of the root folder of your microSD, and one of its _dstwoplug folder.

I'd like to play Super Mario RPG but every configuration is slow... what do you suggest?
That particular game has a special hardware chip in the cartridge that handles a lot of stuff the SNES couldn't do alone (much like the Starfox games that used the Super-FX chip). That chip has to also be emulated, meaning it requires more processing power than regular SNES games require.

Playing it on another device, like your PC, or enduring the slowdown in CATSFC at frameskip 2. That game is just not easy to emulate with just 396 MHz of CPU.

How did the PSP SNES emulator able to do it with 333?

SnemulDS-like speedhacks again?

Nebuleon, let me ask a question ... Have you tried a mode in which the v-sync is very weak or non-existent? I may be mistaken but seems like the vsync requires a lor from the processor. Is that so?

Have you ever played Snes9x with "emulated fullscreen"? The flickering/tearing, even on Mario and Super Metroid isn't bad, and reduces any input lag to zero. Being aware of the phantom effect on the (weak) LCD, i'm sure a BIT of screen-tearing and/or improper flickering wouldn't be a problem, as long as the emulator could be able to handle automatic or zero frameskips.

I would be glad with any answer about this doubt of mine. :)

Thank you

In Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World, the emulator freezes when you jump once.

How do I fix this?
Cannot reproduce this here. Make sure you have a good ROM, that it isn't truncated, and that your card is formatted using the Panasonic SD Formatter with the size adjustment option set to on.

Alternatively, a subgame other than Super Mario World is freezing; I assumed it was Super Mario World for my quick testing, because you added the suffix "+ World". If it's not World, please state which it is.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
