AVG says its a trojan it is in my /programfiles/hp folder, im thinking it was a false positive but I removed it anyway, what do you guys think?
In that case the program you've never used will not function from now on.Really don't know what hp update even is, this is a fresh install of windows, just for some reason I remember I had to install the hp support assistant for something, but I never had to use it.
tryed that first lol, really no help.Depends. It could be a troyan which latched onto the file, it could be a file that was similar to a troyan - you'll never know since it's gone now.
Googling the DLL's name could shed some light on the issue.

was one other guy had the same prob this month, I kinda highly doubt it was a virus cause I really dont do anything much other then go to this site on my windows partition (any real surfing is done on linux) but I guess you never know really.
