Hacking Firmware/Kernel options for r4i 3ds sdhc card?

So I have an r4i-sdhc 3ds card (purchased from http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=146), and since the firmware/kernel that is officically supported by this card is crap, I was wondering if there were any other options for firmware/kernels out there compatible with this card. NOTE: The software must support new DS games (such as black and white 2) and also must support trimmed nds roms. Does NOT need to have support for DSi or 3DS (even though it's a 3DS card), only needs to support DSL because that's what I will be using it on. Thanks!
