As Rayman legends has gone from being Wii U exclusive to multi-platform, the other few exclusive titles Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 would have to go through Nintendo's (Reggie's body ;) as Nintendo has funded for those.

PlatinumGames co-founder Hideki Kamiya popped up on Twitter to say all that. He spoke in the wake of two other Wii U exclusives, Rayman Legends and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, recently being announced for PS3 and 360.

"We're a development company... Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101, and they sell it," Kamiya explained.

"We're a development company...Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it...So if Nintendo says 'We're putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360' it'll come out on those platforms...So ask Nintendo about it..."

Ah. Still, there's a world of difference: People actually give a shit about Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101.
There's probably a contract to these developments giving Nintendo all the rights as they probably invested alot into these projects. It's no brainer, still we have people waiting for the multiplatform move believe it or not.

Anybody who thinks Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 is going to go multiplat is fucking retarded. Stop dreaming people. Blame Sega and Sony and Microsoft that they only care about the same stuff over and over. If it wasn't for Nintendo, Bayonetta 2 wouldn't even be possible. Be thankful there's at least a chance to get it. Want to play it or Wonderful 101? Get a WiiU, stop being stupid, stop bitching.

I heard that Bayonetta 2 would have been a timed exclusive, but microsoft thinks it's doing their customers a favor by not allowing games that were previously released on another platform.

Anyone still unconvinced that that policy is just evil?

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge says hi, published by Nintendo.
Sure, but Ninja Gaiden 3, of which Razor's Edge is an enhanced port is already on the PS3/XBox 360.

I'm not entirely sure why Tecmo Koei is re-porting a port here, but the way I understand it, perhaps Nintendo only had the publishing rights "for a WiiU version", not "publishing rights for the title in general", in which case Tecmo Koei could find a different publisher for other versions.

We don't know the details of the deal, so we can only speculate.

Microsoft (as well as everyone else minus Nintendo) didn't want to pick up Bayonetta 2 because the first game didn't sell stellar. If they were putting the game on their platform, they'd need to pay for it themselves as no third parties wanted to touch it.

This forum is turning out to be less USN, and more "Captain Obvious says: "
But then again, we can see if this thread goes 14+ pages. A challenge? :P

Wether or not something is an exclusive is not really a 100% factor that it won't surface on other platforms. Especially if time passes. A good example would be Mass Effect for PS3 (EA/MS). If there is a reason for a game being only for one platform (certain type of controller like Kinect, Move, WiiU tab, Wii+, etc), I can see a benefit for the customer. If there isn't a reason like that, it's more of a certain company thing (in other words, buy our console or don't play (unless you're a dirty pirate and use emulators)).

You haven't added the part ''Ask Nintendo to release Zelda for PS3''
And that won't happen, Bayonetta 2 and 101 are gonna be Wii U exclusives.

Sega says hi!

Nothing is certain, but it isn't probable as long as the company can make profits and/or has cash to compensate for possible losses.
