generations (pc version) was awesome (why does every1 hate it?) if they make it like that but better than WIN. and gen did have lots of platforming in the classic levels.

Generations wasn't bad in the least.

Haven't played Colours yet so I can't say the same for it.

Anyway, it's best to wait on these sorts of things. I'll keep my exceptions low to avoid disappointment.

Don't say that sonic unleashed was the best

Because of the controls on the pc were hard to keep up with the speed,unless you connected a 360 or ps3 controller.

I liked the style in Sonic Generations, but I really wish they would return to "full 3D Sonic," instead of this pseudo "let's randomly transition to 2D in the middle just for the hell of it!" stuff.

After the original 3 games on the Genesis, I didn't like any of the other ones.... Too be fair I didn't know anyone with a Sega CD so I didn't get to try that game. (it looks good to me and some day I am going to try it out on emulation or the VC or something.)

On the subject of a new Sonic game, please for the love of god Sega take a page from Nintendo's book and make the new Sonic game like part 1 only HD graphics and maybe add a light sprinkle of new stuff... Not too much mind you just enough to make it fresh with out making it a mess.

There were rumours that Sonic was going to be "radically" redesigned and turned more into Skylanders, this was about a year ago so probably not true but still...

Then recently it was said that it's going to keep the Generations formula while the 3DS is...sigh...sticking with the Rush formula. Initially I was happy with it keep to Generations style of gameplay until playing it again yesterday and suddenly it was a pretty mediocre game. The 3D levels were actually better but it was still the "press a direction and jump" gameplay. When Sonic fans bitch about these games not being proper sonic, what they mean is the first four games had proper platforming elements in them. After Sonic Advance they just became like time track racers.

Still I'll be interested in what Sega do with this, they need a huge series to keep them up against the big companies out there.
