I'm currently a college student living in an apartment about an hour away from my mom's house; however, I typically spend the weekends with my mom. I have Paper Mario installed on both Wii and vWii, and I keep one console in my apartment and the other at my mom's house.

Naturally, what I've been doing is using Savegame Manager every Thursday to extract my save from my Wii, then install that save to my vWii; then, on Sunday, I reverse the process, extracting from vWii and installing to Wii. It's an effective workaround, but I feel as if I could streamline this process.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I thought about saving games to a virtual nand on my SD card, like I do with CFG USB Loader and wii games. I tried this with the Paper Mario wad installed to virtual nand, and an ISO forwarder, but it just keeps booting me to the vWii system menu. I thought I would just need the filed created by installing the wad; do I need to use a full SNEEK-style virtual nand to make this work? Will it work at all on a vWii, yet?

Thanks, guys and gals :)

It might be easy enough to bring the Wii U with you, if you have enough room.
You don't need to bring the GamePad, and you can use the Wii's sensor bar and AV cable (as long as you set the output to Non-HDMI with the GamePad before you leave.) All you need is the console and the power cord.

I've thought about this, although I have two issues stopping me from following through- I already have to tote a lot of stuff back and forth each week, and an SD card is just a million times easier than a whole console. Also, my mom is using the Wii U as her primary internet device, because I'm a nice guy, and she fried her laptop.

Sorry I don't know the answer, but you know, you could just spend more time with your mom :)

You only say that because you don't know my mom. ;)
To be fair, I know very few people who don't have crazy moms, and I don't claim that mine is crazier than most... by much.

Anyway, unfortunately, as far as I can tell everything is set up properly, so I think it just doesn't work on a Wii U right now. Ah, oh well. Maybe after I finish Paper Mario, I'll just play different games in different places. Hahaha.

The key is so far "emu. NAND" doesn't work in vWii.
You can download your saves from vWii NAND to SD/USB
(EX:by CFG USB Loader) but you can't load the saves
from SD/USB in vWii.

That's what I was afraid of. Thank you :)

A correction to the thread I post yesterday:

You can use CFG USB Loader to load
the saves from your SD/USB if you have installed
cIOS d2x v10 beta52-vWii. (partial emu. NAND works for vWii).

cIOS d2x v10 beta53-alt-vWii doesn't work for that.

Oh that's very interesting... I'd originally had issues getting beta52 to install, so I used beta53-alt instead, primarily out of convenience. Perhaps I will try installing 52 again this weekend. Thank you very much for the info :)
