Monster Hunter 4 rumoured for PS Vita

Take this with the largest pinch of salt that you can find, but a Japanese magazine is rumouring that the reason for the 3DS delay of Monster Hunter 4 is so that a PS Vita version can be released at the same time.
"Whilst originally it was said that the delay of MH4 was due to wanting to make a better quality game and graphics, the real reason appears to be that it may be released on the PS Vita to increase sales," says the rumour via Operation Rainfall.
Capcom hasn't announced a Vita version of the popular series is in the works and we really aren't sure they'd be able to get one out this quickly, unless of course it's been in development for quite some time. But if so why would Sony keep quiet about it?
Given that a Monster Hunter 4 title would more than likely revive the fortunes of Vita in Japan, Sony would surely love this to be true.
In our opinion though you should file this under hopefully but doubtful.

I saw this on GoNintendo. The original source was a Japanese publication called Gamelabo (or Game Lab maybe, dunno). They were also responsible for a number of other rumors from the past, here are a few (I probably don't have to tell anyone none of them came true, probably safe to assume the source if full of shit with MH4 coming to Vita as well)-

- Dragon Quest 9 getting a PSP port
- A new DS model will include a TV tuner and radio built in
- Square Enix making a new DS RPG with Shonen Jump characters
- Nintendo going to release an external hard drive for Wii
