Why won't they make a console version of Pokemon thats a proper game like the handhelds?
It would look amazing on the WiiU, using the controller to track pokemon hp & status, select moves, acces to items etcThen the fights could be fully rendered like the movies

In an interview with Game Informer, Pokemon Company director of consumer marketing J.C. Smith commented on why there isn’t a Wii U version of Pokemon X/Y.
Admittedly, the response is predictable. Smith mentioned that Game Freak tends to prefer portables as a result of the communication and trading aspects, and because you can take them with you.
“I can’t speak to the specifics, but traditionally Game Freak has always loved the game to be on a portable device because of the communication, trading, and the experience of taking this adventure with you. That’s why they’ve always prioritized a portable version of the game first. They’ve always liked what you can do in the real world with that.”
Speaking more broadly, Smith discussed the lack of real Pokemon titles on console:
“It comes down to what the creators want to do. Every time I’ve heard them talk about it, it’s been about the portable experience, taking the adventure with you, being able to share it with friends, communicate, trade, battle – really encouraging that interaction.”

Anyways since it's gonna be on the 3DS and Streetpass and Spotpass would likely be used, I kinda think that customization would be something they would want to add, just to be unique when you encounter a Streetpass character, the fact that there was that glitch in the video where the glasses stayed behind after the character swung from the vine.

One good point about the Starters and their types
Chespin could be Grass/Dark
Fineken could be Fire/Psychic
and Frokie could be Water/Fighting
That would make each starter strong AND weak against each other, which is actually an awesome idea.

I'm just hoping that they didn't add any real time action bullshit (like quick time events, or smashing the A button to make the attack stronger, or controlling the pokemon's movements). I like old fashion turn base battles for my pokemon games.

About the anime.... I was a fan of it since the beginning. I "endure" watching it till mid Diamond and Pearl 2nd season. It started to be unwatchable, it's just always the same... on and on and on and on.

They should produce a parallel anime with the Pokemon Special Manga or just follow the games simplified storyline and make a short and fast pace series with 13 episodes for each generation.

Well they added Triple Battles for BW and BW2 I have a feeling what they change will be as simple as something like that.

I'm curious about this too.

3rd gen, added in abilities, EV's, IV from 15-31, held item
4th gen, added the major physical/special split
5th gen, Same hardware as 4th gen so didn't add much but added in hidden abilities for Pokemon.
6th gen , new hardware and perhaps another change in battle structure like 3rd and 4th gen. I'm hoping it's good change.

two reasons. they love portability, which makes sense for pokemon as a whole

also its cheaper to produce. so you can make more profit with it

i somehow expect the ev system will be updated to factor in something like relationship to your pokemon into it. maybe we can act like paul and smack pokemon around.


also, i really hope the anime doesnt end up as a 3D show now. at least not as long as they keep ash and the old characters around.

No you can't.
There was no need for triple battes and rotative battles.
Beside, a triple batle of Wailords is something definetly exquisite and too big for the screen:
