I think they should remake Ruby and Sapphire for the DS to hold over the fanbase until they make Generation VI.

Here are some things that I would like to see in Gen VI.

A story plot that unfolds while still maintaining the 8 gym badges then championship formula.

Multiple sub-plots during the main quest and post-game.

Still a top-down perspective.

Ditch sprites for players and Pokémon and use 3D models.

The ability to customize the character. (Eye color, hair style and hair color at least)

The ability to buy clothes and accessories for the character & change hairstyles/haircolor.

The ability to customize clothing with different coloring.

A search function for the items/bag

Regional Pokédex to be organized by evolution of the new Pokémon.

The Pokedex still maintaining the Habitat list, but with improvements like more specific details for Pokémon in dungeons (I.E. Pokémon X is on Dungeon X 1F and B1F, but Pokémon Y is only found on B1F in shaking spots)

Some special clothing and accessories unlocked by completing Wi-Fi tournaments.

The return of the medal system in the form of in-game achievements with some more difficult medals unlocking special clothing/hairstyles/accessories.

Two new Pokemon types to bring the total types from 18 to 20.

Bring the total Pokédex number to 777 (For the lulz)

At least 57 new moves.

Special Shiny Pokemon with a special ribbon and special move as rewards for completing Wi-Fi tournaments (I.E. Shiny Mew with Psyshock)

The return of Pokemon Contests with the ability to have Wi-Fi Pokemon Contests.

Trainer ranking, when you win a Pokemon match on Wi-Fi matchmaking a point value on your trainer's card goes up, but losing a match makes it go down.

Use of Spot-Pass and Street-Pass both in standby and real-time.

Mystery Gift using Spot-Pass and Street Pass in real time, when you enter an area in real life that hosts an event, the bottom screen will alert the player that
a Pokémon or item is waiting for him/her at the Pokémon Center.

Dynamic music for Pokémon battles that have multi-fading channels. The battle theme is normal when both challengers have max HP, a victorious theme begins to play when the opponent's last Pokemon's HP is low, a Danger theme begins to play when your Pokemon's HP is low BUT WITHOUT THE DAMN BEEPS, something like orchestral hits being played with each shake of a Pokéball to make the attempted capture more intense, and all of the musical changes being real-time. Examples of the seamless multi-fading music that I am speaking of are; Banjo-Kazooie's music, Route Themes from Pokemon Black and White, and Zelda Wind Waker's battle theme.

While in a battle waiting to select an action, the Pokémon take cheep-shots at each other, but the attacks don't connect and is purely aesthetic.

Accessoreis for Pokemon that shows in battle, like a Pikachu with a red skarf or a Zorua with Blackout shades!

The ability to make hidden bases!

When entering another player's hidden base, if the actual player is online, when talking to the dummy representing the player, you can have the option to challenge the real player. The real player will then be alerted that another player wishes to battle them, if the player then refuses, you fight the dummy instead.

I would really like the ability to customize your player. I mean come-on! I wanna have cool blackout shades while wearing a baseball cap backwards while wearing a black jacket unbuttoned with a white shirt under it and have long black jeans.

Better yet, HEY NINTENDO! LET ME DEVELOP SOME CONTENT IDEAS FOR POKEMON GEN VI!

I may be a devout Pokefanboy but I do have to agree with you there. BW2 ended nicely. And we should leave it at that.

Plus I am not too keen on travelling around Unova again in such a short span of time.

For me, they should do this way:

Sixth gen pokémon (2013) -> 3rd gen remake mid (2014) -> 6th gen 3rd version with Unova region and it's legendaries (2015) -> Yellow Remake with Orange League (2016).

You know what Pokémon game I really would like to see?

Huge idea incoming(shortened for the simple minded)

  • Pokémon Generations
  • A Pokémon game which will feature all generations of Pokémon, all regions(including the ones from XD GoD/Colosseum and some other from other Spin-Offs
  • All bad guys will be melted together to one team
  • There are a few leaders, from each team one, still teams aren't completely working together that well and they are fighting each other.
  • All gym leaders are included(ala PWT from Black and White 2)
  • New region included as well, which contains strong trainers and about 50 new Pokémon, this region is pretty small and only contains 4 gyms instead of 8, here you can fight the World Champion(if you use Wi-Fi, the strongest trainer around the globe selected by someone from Nintendo will appear once a day(every day another challenge, every day a new trainer.)(Maybe spotpass?)
  • Pokémon Rumble is minigame which you can play at a certain store.
  • You can use street pass, to send your trainer data, you can fight the trainers who you have passed on the way, the streetpass data will be updated every time you save to match your trainer style
  • You can start groups(like in Mario Kart 7 with it's communities) and start your own tournament among your friends!
  • You'll have a few rivals(every region contains one rival)
  • You start in Kanto(or Johto you know, the one from Red and Blue) then you go to Johto/Kanto, then to Hoehn, ect. every time you reach a new region you'll lose all your Pokemon until you reach the Pokemon lague where you can access the interregional PC to transfer your Pokemon from.(So your story progresses like Ash his story in the Pokemon anime series, only you won't have a Pikachu every time.)

One thing that sure scares me is the pokemon development cycle time.
Usually the pokémon development teams take 4 years to develop a pokémon game.
They showed to be very slow compared to other development teams

With the 3DS, we expect graphics a lot better, and I'm afraid that we might have one of these 2 possibilities:
A not so good Pokémon for 3DS or
A Pokémon that takes too long to be released, between 6-8 years.

I hope I'm wrong

The Orange League. The people in it should have been added to the PWT in Black and White 2.

If the Pokemon Company plans to end itself, this should be their last game.

Pokemon 3DS better be sprite-based. But otherwise, there's nothing I particularly want changed.

I want a new entry into the stadium games, only without turn based attacks. I want full on pokemon button mashing, smashbros esque fighting. Button combos to use moves, with four basic move combos which can be forgotten to.learn new moves (which means learning new combos to keep the game all the more interesting) and different battle terrains.
Itd be an amazing spinoff to the franchise, id want a handheld and console release.

pokemon is all about choosing an attack and wait.
a pokemon game like N.U.N.S.G would be a big mess

    Yeah but not like this.

It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
