quite nice but then again, who is leading them? gameplay seems to be str fighter style

It is not a fighting game. It's an SRPG with a combat system similar to Super Robot Taisen OG saga Endless Frontier.
That combat system translates too:
Press A -> Entire move is excuted-> Press A -> Next Move... With a penalty for dropping the enemy during your moves, timing is key.
During this you can bring in assists. (D-Pad in Endless Frontier)
When a gauge is filled up you can perform finishing moves.(Y in Endless frontier)

The exact implementation in PXZ is ofcourse unknown at this point.

Actually, the reason why me and most people enjoy the SRW series is because of how well the stories are done, I mean, they manage to mash Gundam, Mazinger, Nadesico, Full Metal Panic, Getter Robo, etc, and still make sense, those games are way too awesome, although they're not dedicated for your everyday gamer but rather the mecha fans (which are quite a lot in Japan). =3

Just gonna say that Endless Frontier was one of the best turn based battle systems in years. The fact that it made turn based battles not fucking dull is amazing.

As per the topic of localization, I should probably amend my previous statement since this does have a better chance of localization than most Japanese crossovers. Since this is mostly video game franchises, it won't be the same clusterfucks we get with like anime. If Sega, Namco, and Capcom could agree to work together on this game in Japan, there's not much sense that they wouldn't for the rest of the world.

I guess the issue is that Namco usually has some anime licensing stuff (like Super Robot Wars, as mentioned) so they may cut or replace those characters. Still Namco does have Tekken, Soul Calibur, Pac-Man, and a few other franchises that are fine.

The big issue though is it still being a bit niche. Even with all these franchises, it's still a SRPG, which isn't something that is very large in the west.

yea, japan and their giant robots XD. but I was saying in a roundabout way that Im hoping the story is as good as the amount of cool cinematics and bouncing mounds that the trailer had shown. because most people do play a game for the story.

It's Namco. I'm pretty sure they won't give even a chance to Project outside of Japan. On top of that, there's the dreaded Sakura Taisen franchise.

They are playing the wait and see game with us base on this rumor.

They're probably aren't. It is the most popular excuse for them. But I guess it's good that they're not saying that they're doing some "Market research".

It's from Nintendo3DSBlog so I'd take that with more than a couple cups of salt.

N3DSB is shit if you didn't notice.

It's run by asshats, their news is often just red herrings and baseless rumors, they're horrifically biased, and their Youtube channel is shit.

There's a thousand Nintendo news sites like GoNintendo that are fine. N3DSB is just shit.

If you were wondering the source of this "news" is the facebook of a Project X Zone localization group.
