Which do you prefer for place names?!

  • Stick with Japanese names for all names.

  • Use localized names (from Dawn/Dusk) for old names, and Japanese for new names.

Been following you guys for a long time now. Looks like your doing a great job. I respect how long and tedious it is. I worked on attempting to translate Xros Wars. Txt seems easy at first until you get to line number one million. Plus images as words were a headache from another world. Good luck to you guys. (sorry for the spam post of support)
How did that work out?

well It didn't we never finished. It wasn't and expert translation either. We did all the names. worked on the quest board. The quest board seemed to try to do a lot of play on words which only work in japanese so it was quite confusing I got about halfway through them but their by no means expertly done they were understandable tho as to what it was called and what you needed to do. And then we tried to work on the moves. But the moves i don't know if its a text amount problem or the type of text we used or what. But they simply didn't appear. It was just blank. There were no available hackers.

After having played through every Digimon game for the ds multiple times and giving world championship a go (It was boring after a few hours) I am happy to hear that you guys are translating a newer version and have made great progress. I know that it will be some time before it is over and complete, but I just want to say thanks. I have seen a lot of people attempt this in 2010 when it first came out and 6 months in they called it quits or put the project on hiatus due to time consumption or personal obligations. I'm well aware that this is hard work and time consuming, so I just wanted to let it be known that I am thankful you are doing this. Cannot wait to play the finished version (I'll test if for you if need be lol).

Yeah hackers are an important part of translations but so are translators and programmers although a large quantity of hackers know at least a little bit of programming

If you'd have asked me to do it a few months ago i would have hacked it. I wrote the tools and hacks for this translation and it should be the same engine with the same hacks required. Unfortunately I'm swapped with real life stuff and don't have time at the moment.

Wuju! Great!!! jaja excellent work ;)
is this project dropped as nothing has changed in the last few weeks
A weekly update really isnt needed
This isnt a newspaper its a translation and a very lengthy one.
Because the team all have things to do outside the temp, sometimes things wont change much and therefore theres nothing to report.

Translations have gone far longer periods without public updates than this one; I suggest patience for the next one.

Remember, incessant questions regarding progress cause translation teams to quit!

Hi, Im the admin of a translation team. I like too much this game and I would like to traslate it to spanish. If you dont want to give us the text is all okay, but I think is a great idea to make it in many languages.

I seem to remember this coming up before. If you have someone who can translate from japanese to spanish then you don't need more than the tools listed on the old thread. (Maybe on the first page here the links may have been included). Pakmanager for the graphics and the other pak tool for the text.
Any ways the graphics you can pm me about. The text you really just need the tools for. (page 24-ish in the old thread).

We dont know any japanese xD But if you want to help us with the graphics we'll be glab to work with you.

So basically after we are done translating it to english you want to translate it from english to Spanish.
amirite?

Not exactly... We thought to look for translators from japanese but we find you. And if you translated it to english is not too much intelligent to translate from japanese xD
