before that i edited the nand backup i remove offset 21000000 - 210003f0 (bootmii backup keys)
then i flash the edited nand dump and still bricked

any one here tried the same trouble i made..

No. And it would really surprise me if someone else did that. Removing your system menu IOS is one of those things that somehow makes sense to newbies ("I didn't want it to take up space!"), but removing your backup keys is a new level of stupidity. Well...unless you hate nintendo so much you WANT to brick your wii. In that case: mission accomplished.

April fools day was two days ago, man. Either someone pulled a horrible prank on you or you're too late to come up with one.

EDIT: just out of curiosity...what IS progskeet? Never heard of it before.

EDIT2 (important): I have to apologize: as showcased in lower-mentioned posts, it's actually me who doesn't know enough about the situation. As such, my post was shortsighted and perhaps even uncalled for. So...sorry about that.

what? you didn't know progskeet?
well im no newbie.. i know that deleting system menu IOS will brick my wii.. and that is only one part of my experimentation...
PROGSKEET read it..

and...
bootmii nand dump need to be edited to before you flash it back using external programnmer...

well i need a serious hardware technical guy around here like deadly

I haven't looked into the details of progskeet, but it looks like you need to unsolder your nand and solder it on the program adapter pcb.
So, my bet is that you had a bad soldering during the process. There is absolutely no reason why a properly reprogrammed nand flash chip wouldn't fix the brick issues.

If the chip is still soldered on the wii now, observe all solderings carefully for shorts and unconnected pins. A good magnifying glass is a must, but a microscope is even better
Eventually, you can take 2 needles and use them to verify if all nand pins are electricaly connected and not shorted to their neibour. The nand chip is not something you can remove and resolder
multiple times. If everything seems ok, find someone with a professional programmer that can place the chip in a zif socket, and verify that the chip got programmed correctly. Good luck with your experiments.

@wever A bootmii nand dump nand.bin file contains the contents of the nand chip. (first piece) and the different wii keys (end of the file).
Most software tools that use a nand dump ignore the keys at the end of the file, so most people simply forget they exist.

thanks obcd, but i've already done resoldering several times... and checked my connections for shorts..
im a proffessional ps2 modder... i can install ps2 modchips within 30 mins.. so i think my soldering skills is not that bad..( hehe..=) )
i've done ps3 downgrading several times too using progskeet...
my guess, winskeet (progskeet software) has the problem about nand compatibility...
i still need to install linux for programming the nand, i'll use differrent software.

btw. thanks for your help..
need some more work to do, to make progskeet work on nands.

fiy:
after i flash back the nand dump, i redump it again using progskeet...
using hx edi.. i compared the one i redump and the nand dump from bootmii.. and there are differrences..

i still need to continue... something must be missing.. hehe

It could be worth checking if the dump you get back isn't the original one. You can use the showmiinand program to extract a nand flash dump.
If progskeet isn't programming the nand, this would make sense.
I don't think you will find many people with experience using a progskeet to program the wii nand flashchip.
Most simillar work like that is done by deadly foez, and he uses an infectus if I remember well.
Since those are absolete, another working solution might not be that bad.
Is progskeet actually supporting the nand flash chips used in the wii?

A little bit of misinformation in here. Lets hope I can clear it up so everyone understands.
... but removing your backup keys is a new level of stupidity.
No. When flashing a nand.bin to the nand, you never actually flash the keys. You can remove them or just leave them in there. programming software like Xavbox (only works with infectus) will just ignore all the extra data that is beyond the available space in the nand.

bootmii nand dump need to be edited to before you flash it back using external programnmer...
See my reply above.

The nand chip is not something you can remove and resolder multiple times.
Yeah it is. LOL, I've done it to my wii like 40 times before I put the TSOP48 clip on it. I actually went and torched a NAND chip with 480C for quite some time, even got the silicon to bubble up and the NAND chip still worked. I was actually rather shocked. But I'm sure it isn't intended on having them heated up so much.

@OP. The best way to program a NAND chip is by removing it from the mobo, especially if your NAND chip is a samsung chip.

If you start up your wii and you have a solid black screen then the NAND chip is properly connected to the mobo and boot1 and boot2 are perfectly in tact. If you power on the wii and you just get a static like screen then the NAND chip is not properly soldered on or when writing to the nand it corrupted boot1 or boot2. The rule of thumb here is to never bother writing to blocks 0-7, and only write to blocks 8-4095 just so you never take the chance of corrupting boot1 or boot2. I haven't used winskeet so I'm not sure if it lets you list starting and ending blocks to write to. I would actually love to get a progskeet. If I got one then I would do up one of my brick repair tutorials for using the progskeet.

But at the OP, like I said, your best off removing the nand chip for programming so the progskeet isn't fighting with the wii's signals. Even if you short ground to data0 (or any data line) to halt the wii from trying to access the nand, it still does not always work out so well.

You're right. Sorry about my post. i googled it a bit this morning, but thought it was mostly for other consoles so I totally made the wrong assumption. :shy:
