Okay so i have homebrew already installed on my wii. It's been a while since I've tried to finished the mod for it. So, I need help getting it to where i can get homebrew browser and to run emulators. I used a 512mb sd card to get homebrew installed, but i could not get the rest of the process done. WIth all that said, I have an 8gb sdhc card as well. I read on another forum that once you have homebrew installed you can use an sdhc to finish the process. I have bootmii on the homebrew channel, but i don't know what to do with it. Can anyone give me instructions on what to do with my sdhc so i can run emulators on my wii? thanks for any help.

Hopefully that gives you a push in the right direction. If you need more help then just say so and let us know where you are getting hung up.

I just need to figure out how to format my sdhc to where i can run bootmii on my wii. I have not finished the process of softmodding it yet.

use your 512mb card to launch bootmii, although it will be pointless because you wont be able to make a nand backup with it or your sdhc card.

But honestly, get a 1gb or 2gb card so you can make a nand backup.

If you have HBC installed all you should have to do is download your emulator of choice and put it in /apps/ on your SD card, then launch it from HBC.

And if my memory serves me right, all you really have to do in bootmii during modding is taking a NAND backup. But the NAND wont fit on a 512MB card. You could try with your 8GB, some SDHC cards work - others not.

edit: oh, and about the flashing... are you sure you have the bootmii folder in the root of your SD card?

+1 on that.

bootmii needs the bootmii folder on the root of your sd card. In that, you should find an armboot.bin and ppcboot.elf file. (and an ini file)
Make sure your sdhc card is fat or fat32 formatted. Copy the bootmii folder from the 512MB card to the other card.

Most emulators resist on a subfolder of the apps folder.
Some also have an additional folder on the root (usually their name)
That one should contain the roms and configuration settings. (Sometimes in a subfolder roms)
