using wiiflow sonic and black knight pal wont work, i have checked the iso thats up to date, and i checked compatability and it says it works any ideas? i get the white health screen then a yellow flame on bottom right of screen then goes black and thats all.

Hiya

I'm kinda new to this and gonna try and explain as best i can so bare with me.
I softmodded my wii using modmii following the personalised instructions i was given, I think i did everything right and have the homebrew channel. I put a couple of iso downloads on to dvd +R discs using imgburn, one using x1 speed and the other using x4 because had read recommendations for both. I tried them both in the wii and they both appeared in the game channel window so i got all excited thinking it had worked but when i tried to play it came up An error has occures. Press the eject button remove the game disc and turn off the power. : (. Anyway i read about Neogamma so installed that on the wii and still getting error message through that. Can anybody help not sure what im doing wrong?

If you can see the banner of a burned game in the disc channel it means your Wii IS capable of reading\playing backup discs. Loading an actual game from the disc channel will not work though (not without darkcorp or some next shit damystery man is working on). However, neogamma should be able to load the game, what error specifically are u getting? What game u trying to load (be sure to mention region)? What region is your Wii?

In any case, I recommend u look into usb-loading, disc loading is pretty outdated in terms of backup loading

Hiya thanks for the reply. When i load with neogamma i get a black screen for a minute or so then it says an error has occured (or something similar). Both the games are pal and my wii is E if thats any help?

presumably you modified your wii properly and have a cIOS installed. If not, you need to install a cIOS for neogamma to work properly

for usb-loading, use ModMii's usb-loader set up guide. This also requires a cIOS so if ur missing that u should resoftmod using modmii

Hiya yeah think i did it properly followed the instructions exactly. Sorry to be thick but whats a cIOS, how do i know if its got one, where would i download it from and how would i put it on the wii?

Also what do i need for usb loading do i need to buy anything?

Oh and again the games are wii party and another code both pal

my wii is pal 4.3e i have wii party and another code r both pal and they both work on wiiflow, you don't need to buy anything just download wiiflow 2.2 i believe that is the latest version. or usb loader gx or both if you like

It is where you run game backups from a usb hard drive , using a usb loader , eg. wiiflow or usb loader gx etc etc

example installation demonstating wiiflow : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYxDLrw8vvw

So you need a usb harddrive , there is a compatability list kicking around here somewhere : this is where you shell out those hard earned pennies (less you got one already ) :)

Thanks everyone. So looks like i need to invest in a usb harddrive ok will certainly look into it. Just wish i could get it to work with dvds : (.

Go with the USB HDD. I started with Neogamma when I first modded my Wii six months ago and the Wii DVD drive was struggling as hell. Yes I could play from DVD's but it didn't sound good and is slower than from a USB HDD.

Hi there, all. I found this code for use with Ocarina and Skyward Sword (SOUP01):

Text Speed Modifier [Bully@Wiiplaza]
F6000001 80008100
98A30811 88030815
D200001C 0000000A

3C60800B 606324A0

3880XXXX 90830000
807F0720 00000000
E0000000 80008000
*XXXX = Times Normal Text Speed*
I was just wondering what I'm supposed to be changing the XXXX's to, say if I wanted 4 times text speed. When I tried putting '0004' it crashed the Wii at the first text box. Is there a way to find out what sequence I need to put? Thanks.

A cIOS is used for launching USB Loaders and other things.

You have a cIOS if you've encountered installing WAD's and Custom IOS Installers. So I'm presuming you don't

You use ModMii to download a cIOS, but it's kinda hard to install it so you can look it up.

You don't need to buy anything; ou need USB Loader GX, WiiFlow, or CFG Loader to get started.

Hope this helps.

It would be in hex (you can use this to convert from decimal to hex), but for anything below 10, hex and decimal values are the same, so 0004 should have worked. So either you messed up when changing the X's, or the code is wrong/for a different region.

What is the trucha bug and what are stubbed ios's do any of these have to do with why my wii refuses to load my menuify from the homebrew channel or the my menuify channel

The trucha bug is an exploit that was used in the past to install unsigned code, but was gradually patched on all IOS's beginning with the 3.4 update. Stubbed IOS's are IOS's which are simply there as placeholders and don't do anything. Now does your Wii just go to a black screen when you load MyMenuify?

either that or exit back to the system menu (only hapens when loading from the channel insted of the homebrew channel) and i fixed this isue by removing stubbed IOSs 222, 223, 249, 250, and 254 by using multi mod manager

When attempting to install ModMii (ver. 6.1), I get an error near the end where the program quits...

modMiiNotWorking.jpg

It always trips up on the same place. I'm running Win 7 x64. I don't have my SD card yet, so for now, I'm extracting the files to a folder on my desktop. Attempted installation using the following options:
  • Install and\or update all recommended softmods
  • Current firmware is 4.3U
  • Desired firmware is 4.3U
  • Install Photo Channel
  • Install Internet Channel
  • Install Weather Channel
  • Install News Channel
  • Install Mii Channel
  • Install Dark Wii Red Theme
  • Update active IOSs (can be disabled in options)
  • Do not Install a cMIOS (can be enabled in options)
  • Install a USB-Loader Forwarder Channel (can be disabled in options)
Any ideas?

Hi,

I have just bought a new wii that comes with a remote with built-in motion plus. Can I still mod the wii?

If yes, do I need an old controller?

BTW, there is no GC controller slot.

Please advise. Thanks.
