is it possible to reload IOS249 (from 38) through MMM with postloader within neek2o?

can't really install/run much homebrew without being iso249 right?
no there are apps that can run from neek2o, just as with the original neek/sneek..
most of the apps run under 58 or 249.. an those 2 should be on you emu nand...(ios 58/ cios 249 r 17.)
mcloven, the beta great job...

So to reload ios249 or ios58 in MMM, I need to add them (.WAD files) to my emulated NAND with showmiiwads right?

I've done that with the mentioned IOS(s) through showmiiwads and they do show up in MMM as yellow (activatable) but when I tried to reload, the whole system locks up. Have to hold powerbutton to hard shutdown. The wiimote also loses sync as well.

Am I doing this the right way?? Just want to launch some apps in install wads but getting ticket errors and launching apps just locks the system up. I'm assuming this is all because I can't switch it from stock IOS58 it is curently set to by default.
you should already have them both on the nand.(modmii or dump). you can use showmii wads to read/uncompress your nand. just goto the show mii tab. an you can choose. first pick a nand path.(were show mii wads will read from). plus i use yawmm. not sure on mmm. never liked mmm.

Yep, all those steps you mentioned are spot on with my work. When I try to use IOS249 with YAWMM, nothing happens. It trys to load for a second but just loops back. I can choose IOS58 and proceed to where it asks me to pick the storage device I want. I really don't get it because I in fact install to the nand via showmiiwads. Can you link me to the cIOS I need to install to just be sure I got the right files?

EDIT: Use cIOS249[56]-d2x-v7-final right?

EDIT2: NVM, might have messed something on did not install all the necessary WADS provided from the modmii wizard. Will report back.

EDIT3: GRRRR, installed all the .WADS provided my modmii to emulated Nand (38 before I installed them and 38 after, nothing new I guess) Still freezing/locking up when I try to reload ios249. On a positive note, postloader is loading super fast with newest revision just released!

I don't think installing ios 58 and cIOS 249 on a neek2o nand is very usefull.
neek2o is incompatible with ios 58 and will load another ios, It will tell the application that it's actually running on ios 58..
cIOS249 rev. 14 might work on a neek2o emulated nand, but it doesn't give you the benefits of usb drive access the way cIOS 249 does on a real nand.
It's only usefull for homebrew that switches to that cIOS. It won't fail anymore, so some homebrew might run, without usb access.

Okay, cool. Lol, if you start using the format I gave you, you and I will be the only two people to ever create the date right in a meta.xml file. I don't know why, but NOBODY ever creates it right. I had to go through and change all the meta.xml files on my SD card.

Is there any way you could have the app's version displayed in the descriptions? I have multiple versions of some apps.

hey stfour,
I was testing PL3 wiiware loding abilities and this is what I found:
I have several wiiware wads that doesn't work in any loader (PL3, mighty ch., triiforce, uloader or wiiflow) ex: Rubick's cubes, Castlevania Rebirth, Target Pro Bags & Swords & soldiers
however they only work from real Nand or when launched from SD Menu.
Recently I installed them on Uneek Nand (neek2o) and they worked fine, they even worked fine with PL3 launched from Uneek nand.
Why is that and will it be possible to launch them from real nand using PL3?

Since some wiiware wads only work in wii menu (real or neek) then instead of choosing an IOS to run the wad you can also run it in neek environment so that it works. Hence those problematic wads can be run from usb just fine.
Another thing: In the latest mighty channel that runs wiiware from usb, after quiting a game you return to loader not to menu. This is really cool and I think you should add this option too to PL3.

There was an old version of postloader that was able to copy a vc/wiiware to sneek (on sd) and boot it. But I have abbandoned that way as It was a little complex to setup by users and slow. Maybe a similar approach can be implemented with neek2o. This can be interesting...
