Why snesx9gx won't work for network share? Here is what I fill it out.

SMB share IP: 192.168.1.254
SMB Share name: F:/SNESX9/Roms
SMB share username:aarons (my loaner laptop)
SMB share password: pinballdog

Did I go something wrong? And I got error message. Failed to connect to network share. Help me out please.

To my knowledge, a smb share gets a share name. I don't think that one is F:/SNESX9/ROMS. Windows normally uses the folder name so, in this case it would be Roms
Have you tried to access the share from another pc to see if it works? Some OS require the user to be known and to have rights on the machine with the share as well.
You did create a share for the folder I assume?

It all depends upon the os you are using.
In xp, you navigate to the folder and right click while you are on it. Than you left click on sharing + security.
This probably will work in vista and windows 7 as well.
After you made the share, navigate to the computer from another one and check if you can see the share.
Some things like firewalls can still prevent it from working.

Assuming you are using Windows xp/vista/7. You're problem is this. SMB Share name: F:/SNESX9/Roms

The Share name is not the path its mounted to on that PC. It's the Share Name you chose when you set it to share (obcd gave instructions on that already) Simply Call it SNES on the PC when you set that up. Then on the SMB Share name line put SNES. and you are done.

Also I would suggest you give your PC a static I.P. cause DHCP runs the risk of it changing at some point and then your share wont work..

Being pissed of because an emulator can't import a share that you never exported it really stupid.
I don't think anyone will make a video for one id^H^Hperson who is to lazy to read the replies he gets.

The folder you want to import.
Before you can import a share on the wii you have to export it on you computer.
obcd told you so and how to do it.
Have you even tried it?

Only after doing that you can import it on the wii.
The aditional error in your config was already pointed out.

On the other hand: How hard do you want that video?
Do you want it more than 50€?

While I will offer free help to most who want it, I hold the strong believe that there should be a tax on doing stupid things.
And even more on making others do stupid things (like answering already answerd questions again in an way what is 1000 times more work but offers no advantage).

If you have unanswered questions simply ask instead of crying that no one answers unasked questions in a video.

Yes my money is not yours, it's fucking mine.

Cant even write properly in his first language but is arogant asshole enough to demand that everyone uses american currency in his retoric.
Do I smell anti american troll?

But I like the anti american part of that smell. So lets go on trolling.

Or do you actually want help?
Then you will have to provide more information, "Not working" does not cut it at all.

like:
What OS do you use (No simply "Windows" is NOT the answer)?
Did you try accessing it from another PC?
Did it succed?
Did you fix the config file?
How does your config look now?
etc...

How do you determine the ip of the laptop?
What's the ip of the wii?
Do you have a third party firewall on the laptop, or are you using the standard windows one?
A video won't help much. I could make one showing it working on my configuration. You will do exactly the same and it won't work.
We will be back to square one. No 2 pc's are identical.
