Hacking Emulation Feedback Homebrew WiiSX, WiiSXR, WiiSXRX or WiiStation?

I'm choosing a PS emulator for my Wii and vWii, wii.hacks.guide recommends the original WiiSX, but it seems like each one of them is a fork of the one that came before, so maybe WiiStation would be the best one?

For casual play an enjoyability, Wiistation, for accuracy improvements, OG WiiSX (revival), however it lacks all the nice improvements Wiistation has, like 240p, optional video filters, 480i interlaced mode for games like Tekken3 to run well and proper sound emulation trough interpolation.

On the other hand Wiistation has some annoying random stutter on games like SoTN even when the main video stutter issue was solved, and games tend to soft lock sometimes after neaar 2 hours of playtrough at random (this is a new one).

We have gone trough a very long road but it still seems longer...

Wiistation is indeed a fork WiiSXRX which was a fork of WiiSXR, they're both obsolete now and not worth using. WiiSX got completely rewritten so it's either that or Wiistation, they both give pretty good results.

I don't get why all these forks exist when they could just add PR's to the original project.

until 2022 we dont had a good as now ps1 emulation
after a update from the now wiistation, wiisxrx followed the same path but for now, only wiistation and wiisx are versions that anyone should have in your wii.

True, the only active PS1 emulators on Wii are:

- upstream WiiStation by xjsxjs197 (https://github.com/xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022)
- upstream WiiSX by emu_kidid (https://github.com/emukidid/pcsxgc)
