So I just got my 3DS today as a replacement for my DS lite that was stolen from my apartment after it was broken in to :( (it was even signed by the King of Kong, Steve Weibe!). Anyways, after seeing what I saw recommended on here, I ordered an Acekard 2i since I had the original Acekard (was stolen along with my DSlite) and it is cheaper than the supercard dstwo (which was my second choice), and I wanted to use my awesome starfox theme I made for the acekard. Well today I'm looking closer at what everyone has posted and that the Acekard 2i is not updated yet for 2.2 and I saw this just before I was about to pop in my new Mario 3D land and play. I thought I heard rumors somewhere that Acekard 2i was going to be updated on Dec 8th, but can't find where I saw that. Can anyone confirm or deny that? I'm thinking about getting a supercard anyways because they updated for 2.2 a while ago (which leads me to think they will be better about updating in the future). Thoughts?

Ahhh gotcha. That's what I must have read then. Will this mess up all the current flash carts again then? I guess I'll hold off on getting a supercard too then until Dec 8th and see how much that breaks things, which I'm guessing will be quite a bit.

Yeah, before this update Acekard had been pretty comparable to Supercard in terms of update speed. This wait has been irritating, but my only guess is this:

When 2.2 came out on Mario Land, it looked like it was very much an interim update, as the big "November Update" 2.3 was expected any day. Acekard probably didn't see the point in rushing out their fix because going public with it gives Nintendo the chance to patch it out of 2.3. Of course now that we've been stuck with 2.2 for weeks that may not have been the best choice, but hopefully it still pays off and they're ready to go as soon as 2.3 comes out.

And I mean, Mario Land and Mario Kart have been amazing anyway, so it hasn't been a total loss.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo will keep doing this, no other company hates flashcarts as much as them.

Shot... and yet you're still standing? :P

I'm personally waiting for the Acekard Team to release their update for Nintendo's December 8th update, though not-being able to play SM3DL and MK7 is driving me crazy!

Me too, I'm desperate to play them... but they're just being sitting in my drawer :(
