i want to take my iso files of games and convert them to wad files so i can make them channels. any suggestions on how?
i already tried WADder but on the website it said it is no longer available. if WADder is the best option, can someone link it to me?

I honestly hope you don't intend to create standalone channels for your ISOs.
why not?
They won't fit on the Wii's NAND. You can create USB loader channels to load them from a USB drive if that's what you mean. Use Crap for that.

You cant save an ISO on to your wiis NAND (the internal memory) you can store games on USB drives/memory cards and load the games using a usb backup loader.
when you load games onto your hard disk they are stored in the WBFS format. so you have to format the hard disk to work with the right filetype. you can use a WBFS Manager to move games on the harddisk. the last time i used a WBFS manager i used the channel builder in the program. search for a WBFS Manager. it should be able to make WADs for the games. these wads would be shortcuts to the games on the harddisk. you need to have the harddisk plugged in. otherwise the shortcut wont find the game. the shortcut is the wad/channel installed on the system menu.

Generally the loaders that come with WBFS Managers are outdated.

I know it would be pointless to try to convert a wii game to a .wad because of the small size of the wii's internal memory. However, I am wondering is it POSSIBLE to do. I would use it with my emulated wii system menu on dolphin, so I have enough space and a good enough pc to run it.

If you plan to use it with Dolphin, why not just put the ISO in Dolphin's virtual DVD drive and play it like normal?

As for turning ISO->WAD, I've actually been wanting to know how to do this myself (for a different reason). Some ISOs like Wii Play and Hamster Heros are small enough that they COULD be fit into the blocks available on a Wii, or could be used with a SNEEK NAND.

I remember seeing a video from Waninkoko of Hamster Heros running as a channel. Don't think that was ever released though

Wii system memory = 512MB.
Wii games = between 512MB and 8GB.
If he's thinking about turning New Super Mario Bros. Wii into a wad file, it's about 350MB. I thought it would be more... one of life's mysteries  .

Somebody already mentioned it in the second post, best solution would be to copy the game to the hdd and use an iso forwarder channel (wad file), and one program who can do it is "crap". but there are more programs which can create iso forwarder channels.

I believe Wad2ISO is the app in question but it only creates forwarder channels to games that can be loaded via SM.

Exactly, converting it to a standalone wad will possibly not work because I dont think a cIOS can read files from the wii nand. Well I'll close this thread now, look at its date :D
