Homebrew Wii injects remapping "in a way"

I wanted to make a Wii inject for Fantasy Zone Gear (SMS Conversion). This convertion made the sturt button the Dpad down button of the second controller. Normally, I have a second controller, but I want to even share the WAD file with everyone. How can I remap the wad and put the "P2 Down Button" in the first controller using the "start" button to make it work?

I have wondered this same thing!

You can use Ocarina/Gecko codes when you launch a game from within USB Loader GX (and probably other USB loaders and other methods of playing wads).

I can verify they work with N64 virtual console games, so I assume they work with injects, hopefully for all systems.

So that’s the route I would take here. Write a code to remap that button. There are tutorials for this and I’ve messed with it before. I might mess with it this week and let you know if I have any luck!
