Sorry if i sound like mindless douche but, what does this mod do exactly?

vidboy watch the...LOL...VID! boooyyyy! lol

yeah homie basicly soplox has been working on modding the sound files in the PBR game with a few fun tools. As dark stated if you read the first post you can grab a copy of the tools needced to extract "sound files from a wii game iso" and extract/edit/replace the said files with the help of wii scrubber....

if you need any help bud just give a shout

I still dunno why the files are not compatible. Well, the JAP one is smaller than the USA one.
If somebody experimented want the pbr_sound.brsar to try to undub the USA version with the announcer in JAP, i can give the file.

soplox / Anyone???

what was the source site to the ssbb(smash bros brawl) and MarioKart texture hacks?

do you remember? I would like to grab all those tools so that i can get some GFX modded for shiggles in PBR....
tongue.gif
but i wanna have the right resources for the job before i make any commitments lol

Me. Well what happen with the pbr_sounds.brsar file is that you need to extract all the files inside of it and rename them with the name of your region's files

Example: Your trying to change the announcer voice to JP and you have the NTSC version of the game right? so your jp sound files need to be renamed with the name of your game's files in order to game can load the sounds ecause you dont do this the game will not be able to load the sounds files cuz the file it was searching supposedly "not appear" just because the name of it.

I had been able to extract the files inside the brsar file and edited it with BRSAR UNPACKER but since the packer hasnt been done yet (cuz the soundmii team are coding one) i cant put then back to the game

Oh well, we need to wait to that tool to be finished.
At least we can have custom music in battles.

BTW, background music in the main menu and others, which files are? or all are in pbr_sound.brsar ?

Sorry to post here this late, here are my results:
I modified all of the songs in the game, ALL OF THEM and this is what i have to say:
1.- Modified Songs have problems(they skip or they stop suddenly)loading using a burned disc, it is much better tu use USBLoader to load them.
2.- Try not to modify this songs or the game may crash:
-The song from the main menu(from where you load your file)
-The song from the select pass screen
-The battle victory song
However, these all work fairly well using USBLoader.
3.- Watch how songs end, if the song originally ends in a decrease of volume the loop sounds strange
4.- Watch the volume of the songs, sometimes the announce`s voice is louder than the music itself(you can turn the announcer off, use that)
That is all i can report until now, the game itself loads flawlessly.
Can´t wait for editable Voice for the announcer, have there been any advances on that?

just wondering is there any way to MOD PBR so you can use a flash cart with pokemon platinum and connect?????????
give it up...It's not gonna work with the R4DS in anyway shape or form...go buy a CycloDS (recommended) or G6 if you want to use DS ROMs that have Wii Connection.

I have a softmodded Wii, but when I want to play PBR it take a lot of time to load, I'm using softmii, because I want to play games on Disc Channel, it will do the same with this mod? 'Cause I want to modify some songs of the game

Thanks for this! It worked like a charm and now I got much more enjoyable music for my pokemon battles.
Great work to all who contributed to it.

For people interested in this, i discovered a little thing that can be interesting:
- In Wi-Fi and VS DS, exist a 11th colosseum, called Lagoon Colosseum and the name of the file is:
pokerev_music_demo_v2.brstm
- Also, exist a tool called BCSM-GUIv1.5 where you create your own music files from a mp3 with only few clicks!

An Acekard is fine too.

I tried replacing the English version of the brsar with the Japanese version, and it ends up messing up more than just the announcer's voice. So I guess that doesnt work. And I havent been able to find any BRSAR re-packers, only unpackers. But if there is one, then it may be easier to replace the announcer's voice (not too sure though).

I've had the lagging problem as well when I tried playing it on a cd, but it plays perfectly through a USB loader, so i'd recommend trying that for anyone who's having that problem.

That's exactly what I said
without the Brsar Packer the announcer voice can't be changed
