Misc What would convince you to get a Switch 2?

Unless you really want to play DK Bananza, there's no reason to. Even MKW isn't worth playing, you're better off with the older games.

Just give it time to see if Nintendo improves the console and hopefully we'll see a Switch 2 OLED because the Switch 2 LCD vs the Switch 1 OLED is definitely inferior. Colors aren't as vibrant nor detailed.

I already have one which I'm considering getting rid of. Mid-gen refresh with a more efficient SoC and OLED is what I want.

Also, officially implemented Reverse-NX-RT in all games.

I just got one. I got it for free when buying a new phone. That's about the price I were willing to give for it.
I got a Switch 2 through a bunch of cashback offers and stuff, so it was certainly cheaper than the retail price, but still feel disappointed there's no real Switch 2 (exclusive) games to play... Yet.

At least I've grabbed a copy of DKB so I'll try that and Mario Galaxy Collection is on the way.

I'm postponing untill:
- pricedrop
- killerapp
- fomo hits me too bad

I do have a V1, lite and an oled so I really do want one just to make my collection complete but there's no hurry right now.

Seems pretty reasonable for people to hold off until there are games they want to play. I got it at launch because I was interested in the upgraded Switch titles early on and the roadmap they set out for the first year. At the end of the day it's a new console, getting a solid library of games takes time. If nothing else you can at least expect that library will come with a company like Nintendo.

People really forgot what pre-CFW or pre-2014 3DS looked like and it shows lol

However, I got it at launch but I sort of regret it because I don't really use it as much as I expected to despite having MKW and Bananza

Switch 2 is like a semi-upgrade, better hardware, but the screen and battery are inferior to the NS1 OLED.

It's inevitable we'll see NS2 OLED and I'll definitely want one, but I don't mind selling my launch NS2 as I don't really use it and I want one with a better screen.

But I am sure there has to be something
Nothing, zip, nada - just like with original Switch. Kinda shame I can't support the only Nintendo dev studio (Monolith) IMO worth supporting, but "win some, lose some". Also, already have superior handheld compared to either, and one that can run S1 games better than the real thing.
