I love the GameCube controller and it's super comfortable, but when it comes to pressing the button that's required that's where it gets messy.

The center "Start" button is the + button (while the - is elsewhere), the tiny ZL button is incredibly small and you might forget it's even there, and just using it in general it doesn't give a positive gaming experience, IMO.

That said, it's still a great controller with some limitations. I probably won't use it very much, sadly.
 
the original GC controller lacks ZL, it's manufacturer's designing fault for making it in such small size. i saw other 3rd party's GC has modern symmetric dorsal button, you should look for new one if this size really matters.

I agree, just wanted one that's official by Nintendo and sadly they dropped the ball.
