Konami is asking gamers which Metal Gear Solid game they want to see remade next

Konami is looking to tease future Metal Gear content, by offering an exit survey for those who tune into Tokyo Game Show 2025. The questionnaire is fairly basic, asking what viewers thought of the Metal Gear - Production Hotline segment of TGS2025. One of the questions, however, is Konami asking fans which Metal Gear games they want to see get remakes in the future, likely in a similar vein to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which came out in August.

Should be a no brainer and should be MGS4, the only way to easily play it is on a PS3. With emulation you still have to install add ons and it might not even boot after that.

What kind of question is this? When's Metal gear solid 4???? Where's twin snakes????? How bout start with stuff people haven't seen for almost 20 years.... There was one on gameboy color that had unique story... :ninja:

Is Metal Gear Rising after MGS4? I thought that, at the end of MGS4, Raiden loses his SUPER COOL(tm) cyborg armor. Of course, it's MGS, so it wouldn't take much to undo that bit..
I think Rising is considered non-canon, but long story short Raiden still has his cyborg body, I think they just put synthetic skin over it to cover it up. At the beginning of the game he’s using a body similar to the one in MGS4 minus the head which still looks normal but then upgrades to a newer one after the prologue mission for story reasons. You can use his MGS4 appearance and even the Cyborg Ninja outfit through DLC.

Riden was always considered a side character. MGS2 added riden as a way to show how foxhound can manipulate other soldiers into war while doing the same objectives while making him a main playable character. Snake was like Ridens guide throughout the entire game while trying to clear snakes name for being framed of the tanker sneaking. Also a way to pay homage to gray fox in MGS1 by using riden as a ninja replacement I suppose.

Actually I'd like to see a remake of the MSX games

Would open then for a new audience and they're the only "Canon" metal gear games that are still 8-bit

Or Metal Gear Solid 4 on PC at 60 FPS 4k I could do that too.....

People in the comments wants a remake metal gear 4. I dont want to remind bad news...

If my memory serves its not possible to make a remake msg4 because this 3 conditions.

* License issues (songs and some cameos like pc mac assets in the game). Konami its supergreedy dont want to pay licenses.

*Source code lost

* In the case Konami have partial source code, nobody sane will make the remake due the ps3 processor tied with the game. Thats why some ps3 games doesnt have pc ports because thanks to the nightmare cell processor from the ps3 console.

Delta was actually recoded from the ground up so source code won't be a huge deal as for the other stuff they can just reskin. I'd rather loose out on a little than only have one way to play.

they need to remake the first metal gear solid... or atleast remaster the remake twin snakes from gamecube.

MGS1 getting remade again would be nice, and it'd be neat if Twin Snakes was remastered just so it wouldn't be a GCN exclusive anymore.
I finally played Twin Snakes recently, about 10 years after playing MGS1 and I say leave it to rot on the Gamecube.

What the heck were choices like this one?

You can tell it's not a Kojima game.

MGS 4 being tied to the PS3 is a big problem. You can hardly find now any PS3 in a good condition with an original controller.

That's why porting games to PC is a bless for preserving VG history.
