Ahead of METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER launch next week, Konami aired the game's launch trailer which you can view above.

METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is a remake of 2004's METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER. The follows the same story but with all new graphics and 3D audio, and also includes the following modes:

• SNAKE VS MONKEY (PS5/Steam): In this mode, you'll play as Snake, and round up all the escaped apes running amok in each stage!
• SNAKE VS BOMBERMAN (Xbox Series S/X): Take control of Snake, and face off with Bomberman in this special side mode. Blast 'em away in each stage!
• FOX HUNT: Coming Fall 2025, an all-new online multiplayer mode, set in the same world as the main story. This new mode makes use of stealth and survival elements to deliver exciting hide-and-seek-style back-and-forth gameplay.
• Secret Theater: Unlocked after finishing the game. Find 8mm film canisters, secretly carried by enemy soldiers, to unlock these humorous takes on certain scenes. You can find scenes from the original Secret Theater, as well as newly created videos.
• GUY SAVAGE Δ: The "Guy Savage" nightmare game returns in a fully reimagined version that captures the essence of the original while providing a fresh new look from PlatinumGames. Trigger the nightmare sequence during gameplay or clear the entire story mode to unlock it as a bonus mode.

METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER releases on August 28 on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Steam.

Want so badly it hurts. But its also straight from Konomi... so what's the catch?

EoL after a year? Forced pachinko integration? The Boss's booby scar is rendered differently?!

Okay, mostly joking. But I trust Konomi about as far as they can be thrown by a child. So I'm warily hopeful that the online parts aren't axed after a year or two. Give it at least a solid five years, please. By then it should be actually cheap enough to buy on sale.
