Is there anything you did within the flashcard's microSD card after it was working perfectly and before the issue started to occur?

Try reformatting the flashcard's microSD card and checking it for errors by following this page here: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html
If the issue persists, and/or no errors we're found, then something might've happened with the microSD card slot inside the flashcard.

Hi! Pretty new to modding and not super informed about some of the intricacies of it yet. I've installed twilight menu and unlaunch onto three systems so far, and I'm running into issues with one of them. It's a DSi XL and from the get-go it was being difficult. I used stylehax to install twilight and it took numerous tries to get it to work. Once it did and I got to the process of trying to install it the system kept freezing and the whole process would have to start all over. Eventually it worked, but now that everything is installed and set up, Twilight keeps crashing and freezing still. Games will start, though sometimes the graphics won't completely load and textures will be missing. And after a few minutes the screen flashes white and goes back to the opening screen of twilight. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turning of card read DMA, and reformatting the SD card. It's running on the newest updates of everything as well. I'm lost at what else I could do to try and fix this. I've run into the fat init error twice, but it appears rarely. Sorry for the long post, I just don't know what else to do and was hoping someone here could help or had similar issues and knew the solution. Thank you!!

Sounds like your SD card is dying.

I used a 4gb class 4 micro sd, but now I'm using a 32gb class 10, my old sd card was damaged and can't find old and low speed sd card in the market, fortunately i have full backup of my old sd card, but as i said, i have problem running some games, for example mario kart ds, zelda games, gta and... But i can run others like mario 64 ds, new super mario and... I tried different rom with no luck, i suspect the issue regarding my new sd card, but can't find old and slow sd card, so i thought maybe updating the firmware or installing ysmenu can solve my problem, but can't find the correct firmware, the r4 doesn't load anything unless with its official firmware. (sorry for the long reply)

The old one doesn't have any brand printed on it, but the new one is Kioxia (Toshiba sub brand)

You think my problem is hardware related, right? Can't fix it with new firmware or os like ysmenu, twilight etc, i need to either find an old sd card or new R4 card? But i remember having issue running some games on my old sd card (4 gb) too, therfore i thought maybe i can fix it with new firmware, but can't find the right firmware for my R4 card

Are there any video tutorials for creating Twilight Menu themes (DSi and 3DS)? I understand there's a guide on the homebrew page, but it's quite confusing and doesn't explain everything you need to know about GIMP, so it's very difficult for me to create my own themes

Hi guys. My Pokémon Black encrypted rom from Reddit keeps freezing with music playing, and idk what the issue is. I am using a fairly old Kingston micro SD card with adapter in my DSi XL, and an attached picture shows the results I got in H2testw, showing it has no errors. It was formatted to FAT32 beforehand too.

Other attached pics show the SD port of my DSi XL, which seemingly looks fine too. Are more pics needed?

Btw, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum also froze once in my playthroughs, but I didn't finish them, I only played a total of 1/4th of each of them. And 5 months ago, during the process of me hacking my DSi XL, sometimes, trying to open the photo album would say that the SD card could not be used or something.

And I also tried a new SD card (large, no adapter) by copying over all the files from old SD card but still had repeated freezing in Pokémon Black (I am in Castelia (huge) city, but freezes happened before reaching there too). At first, I thought maybe the old micro SD card corrupted the rom, which I copied over to my new SD card, but the H2testw tests for both cards had no errors.

Also, I did the H2testw test with the adapter if it makes a difference, and the Sandisk SD adapter could be fake, as I got it from AliExpress (not the cards though).

I would really love some suggestions...

EDIT: Ok, I see why you mentioned that. You thought the flashcard firmware pics came from the user who posted the SD slot pics, but those pics are from another user earlier in this page.

I have no idea what's wrong with the SD slot, as it looks fine to me.
The only solutions I can think of is to either try another DSi console or run the games from a flashcard instead of the DSi SD slot.

Backup and format the card, usually things running wrong is a sign of data corruption.

Which system version of the DSi are you using? Because the Unlaunch installation page says to update if you're using 1.4.2.

Oh, I thought that 1.4.2 is the latest version. Updated and install of unlaunch went fine
