You are supposed to update hiyaCFW by running TWLMagician. Without it, the space check bug (worked around by adding a dummy file) will not be patched out.
thanks
I recreated hiyacfw 1.6.0 with TWLMagician, it works fine
.
Compare all the files, I found the launcher different,
I added the titles/00030017 folder to my package (hiyacfw 1.6.0 upgrade: titles/00030017 folder &hiya.dsi)

I see @rvtr github developing , and how to building.
Can this tool be used to install NAND on a blank eMMC chip?
If I change dsi CPU, can it create a new NAND?(Will a new serial number be generated?)
Is there an Releases nds file?
(Due to network issues(GFW), I cannot use Discord, and difficult to download things on internet)

.
I've already asked author says that it is still in development.

Is there a UnsafeNandManager that ignores CID to restore NAND?
(NAND of original console)
.
If Unlaunch is not installed, and DSi system error.
Backup or Restore NAND OK:
Start GodMode9i(SD>ntrboot.nds) with ntrboot,
then start SafeNandManager1.1.1 in GodMode9i to Backup or Restore NAND.
.
.
.
If GodMode9i error.
Backup NAND OK:
Start dsibiosdumper(SD>ntrboot.nds) with ntrboot(quickly move magnet away at boot), dump NAND.
Manually add no$gba footer:
Copy 000FF800 to 000FF830 64 bytes(DSi's CID), add these 64 bytes at the end of the nand.bin.
.
Start SafeNandManager(SD>ntrboot.nds) with ntrboot.
Or Start HBMenu(ntrboot.nds), then SafeNandManager.
Backup NAND NG:
If not installed Unlaunch or NAND has been restored before, Backup NAND no CID.
Restore NAND NG:
DT000 folder, NAND with or without no$gba footer, SafeNandManager cannot be Restore.
If NAND in DT***(DSi CID)folder, SafeNandManager does not show Restore option.

I tried several times, sometimes NAND backup have FF800(FF810 all 00 = no CID) without no$gba footer, sometimes NAND backup have no$gba footer(no CID) & FF800 to FF830 all 00.
If NAND backup have no$gba footer(no CID), SafeNandManager(SD>ntrboot.nds) Restore NAND is OK.
.
If NAND backup have FF800(no CID), without no$gba footer.
Manually add no$gba footer(no CID):
Copy 000FF800 to 000FF830 64 bytes, add these 64 bytes at the end of the nand.bin.
Put nand.bin in SD card DT0000000000000000 folder.
Start SafeNandManager(SD>ntrboot.nds) with ntrboot, Restore NAND.

Hello everyone,

First of all, I'm new here and happy to be a member of GBATemp. I've been consulting the various threads about the Twilight Menu for some time now, and every day I manage to find answers to my questions. Until today.

So I'm following @RocketRobz advice and posting my question here.

Indeed I have a question to which I haven't been able to find answers and it concerns the compatibility between the Memory Expansion Pak (official/Opera) and SNEmuldS.

For context:

I'm using a DS Lite with Twilight menu installed on my R4 (Ace3DS+ clone) with various emulators including SNEmulDS 0.6. I also have a DS lite Memory Expansion Pak (official Nintendo / Opera version).

I'd like to use this Memory Expansion Pak with SNEmuldS, but the emulator doesn't seem to recognize the expansion pak. In fact, after a lot of try, it recognizes it like 1 time out of 20.

The expansion pak works fine though, as it's displayed in the GBA slot-2 when I turn on my DS and it also allows me to launch Mario Calculator DSiware everytime (which I can't launch without it). It takes like 10 seconds to launch it though.

I've tried modifying the snemul.cfg file by changing the value “MapExtMem = 1” to “MapExtMem = 0”, but it doesn't make any difference.

However, various sources seem to claim that the official Memory Expansion Pak works well with SNEmuldS. So what did I miss?

Has anyone ever had this problem or would know how to solve it?

Many thanks in advance

Hi. I want to know more about the widescreen patch.
There is a translated rom of the game that supports widescreen. If I understand correctly, to apply a patch to a non-original ROM, you need to copy the original patch to the "Extras" and rename it.
What is the rule for creating a name for VCDE-XXXX.bin? Where do the last two bytes come from? Is it the checksum of the ROM header (512 bytes)? CRC16?

I checked the translated ROM using the widescreen cheat - works the same as the original ROM with patch, but had to enable widescreen for all nds apps

You can just name the file the ROM's filename, plus ".bin" added after ".nds".

need to copy the .bin of the original ROM widescreen patch from the project repository
Code:
TWiLightMenu-master\resources\widescreen\ABCD-1234.bin
to
Code:
sd:\_nds\TWiLightMenu\extras\widescreen\<non-orig-ROM-filename>.nds.bin

Is there anything you did within the flashcard's microSD card after it was working perfectly and before the issue started to occur?
