@NanashiFinal13 wow quite a few games in there not present in this thread thanks, i'll check them out, it's going to be a busy evening :D

I didn't know that disabling the cheat could help with crashes, for now i'm playing Metroid with cheat always active, already 10 hours in and not a single crash using the max depth cheat, so at least here it's really stable. If i find another game with crashes i'll try that.
Yes, I would recommend disabling the codes once they have been loaded. Depth values higher than 41900000 are more unstable and may have visible glitches, so be aware that they may cause the game to crash. I also recently started playing Metroid Samus Return, I'm 4 hours into it and it hasn't crashed at all, but not all games behave the same. Some games are prone to crash when you mess with the 3D values. Like Dragon Quest Monsters Terry No Wonderland. It has different adresses that control the depth of the HUD, exploration and battle system, jusy like SMTIVA. (I actually couldn't figure out the 3D depth in battle.) I was able to make a code that works only outside of battles, but it crashes every time you try to move to another floor. Shame, because the 3D in the game is really bad, and with the code it looks a lot better. I'll post it below, if anyone wants to try it out and see how it looks with it, but remember, the code is very unstable. After using it and seeing how it looks, close the game. Playing through the game with the code activated will cause your console to crash.
(Also added 3 new game codes)

Thanks, can't wait to check those too

I've checked a few more from the other thread and more but it's been a hit and miss, got Stella Glow to work and looks fantastic, but others like DQ VII, MH4 Ultimate and more i can activate the codes, but nothing happens. I think i copied them properly as cheats.txt but no luck, i'll re-check them and hope they work.

i didn't do the MH4 Ultimate, so i don't know why isn't working for you. With DQVII, after apply it, you have to move to another area (or enter/exit any house/building) to see the effect. It is also possible that I wrote the code address wrong. When i get home i will check it out. But im sure the code is working on my console, a recently played the game again wifh the code and worked great.

I can see it working now in DQVII you're right, i'm used that once you activate the code the 3d instantly increases, but that didn't happen here, for example in the intro activating it doesn't do anything, but once i start a game without the code, and now i boot it with the code, the difference is quite obvious, the scene where they are talking at the beginning the two characters is night and day with/without the code, amazing :D

I'm checking some interiors in the zone at the beginning, the 3d is fantastic now.

Maybe I should check MH4U and others ingame that i think that aren't working, maybe i'm wrong and they actually work but i haven't checked them out properly.

I have a Rogue Ally taking dust and checking games in the 3ds instead lol, there's something about 3d that feels magical when it works well.

My bad, I should have explained it when I posted the DQVII code that you need to go to another area. That's something i usually forgot when im serching 3D values. It's a little tricky, because you can actually found the 3D value and don't notice it if you stay in the same area/don't play a little bit. That's exactly what happenes to me with DQVII.

Glad you like it, DQVII remake is one my favorite games of all times, and with the enhaced 3D depth look even more gorgeous to me. In fact, i think is one of the games that look better with the 3D codes. I always loved the 3D effect if the console, it was magic for me, when nintendo announce the 3DS, was an instant day 1 purchase

@NanashiFinal13 wow, that's a lot of new games, thank you! Do you think you can review the codes for Xenoblade Chronicles 3D posted in this thread? Maybe you can tweak it and manage to get HUD not popping out as it is very distracting (and eye-straining)
Thank you, glad you like them. Honestly, i don't remember the HUD popping out that much, but of course, i will give it a try when i get back to my home. Xenoblade is a awesome game, but i played it like 8 times on the 3DS, so when i made the code i didn't test it to much. In fact, i was to thinkin to review all the game codes i did and try to improve them. Any issue you have with any of the codes, please let me know. Sadly, i don't have the time to test them properly aka playing the whole game with the codes, so it would be a great if you or anyone on this thread can help me with it or gave me some imput. Xenoblade is now on the top of my list, along with Animal Crossing. (Someone report some glitching on the screen)

I never played DQVII so I can't wait to play it now, same with Bravely Default, the 3d code is amazing and adds much better 3d.

I agree that Xenoblade HUD is too close to screen so it's a bit uncomfortable in 3d, still much, much better than original 3d which was really underwhelming, another one i can't wait to play even if it couldn't be improved any further.

The one I wish had some extra 3d is tales of the abyss, i checked the existing code but the extra 3d is still not adding much, i don't know if it can be improved.

Again thanks you so much for all these codes, i'm re-discovering the 3DS with all of them and giving new life to old games.

What i've checked so far:
  • 3D Classic Kirby : Works great, recently finished it, I'll play it again like this for sure.
  • Aeterno Blade: Codes don't do anything for me, not in the intro or ingame.
  • Hyrule Warriors: Great 3d, it crashes almost inmediately but once deactivated the code, it works fine
  • Code Princess: Woow, great 3d improvement at max level!
  • Zelda Link between worlds: Amazing 3d at max level, sadly i finished the game a month ago or so.
  • Tintin game: Amazing 3d now, reached the part where Tintin fights, it looks fantastic now.
  • EX TRooper: None of the options seem to do anything, tested in game with the character in the snow environment.
  • Dementium: Nice 3d improvement over default 3d.
  • Ben 10 Omniverse 2: Another game that selecting different cheats doesn't do anything, checked in game.

First of all, I'm glad you enjoy the improved 3D effect. Before this thread, I thought I was the only one who cared about 3D on the 3DS.

Secondly, I'm looking at Xenoblade right now, trying to adjust the HUD. If I get any results, I'll post it here.

Third: thanks for testing the codes, it's good to have some input. Some 3D addresses are not static, so you must create your own static codes from pointers. That's a problem if you don't have anyone but yourself to test them. It may work on your console, but that doesn't guarantee it will work on another console. Still I need a little more information:

Do you test the codes with the CTRPF plugin or with Luma built-in cheats? Is your game ID the same as the one I posted?

I have a bit of a suspicion that some games, like Gurumin, won't work for everyone because I recently played a bit and noticed that the address was dynamic. So I may have posted a few codes that don't work, sorry.

And for EX Troopers: what translation patch are you using and what version? Cia or cartridge?

EDIT: Added Tomodachi Life HUD depth code on page 4.

More games i've checked:

- Luigi Mansion 1 : Looks GREAT now, few things were more frustrating that trying this game for the first time and seeing the terrible 3d, now it's sooo much better.
- Luigi Mansion 2: Woow, spectacular 3d at max level, depth is incredible now, i played this years ago, i have to replay it like this for sure.
- Tales on the Abyss : A lot better now, i don't consider this strong at all even maxed, but now it's gone from okish 3d with previous cheat to i'd play this for sure.
- Ever Oasis : Great 3d now compared to awful default 3d , didn't know much about this game until now,
- Rayman Origins: Really good 3d now, i played this on Vita years ago, i'll replay it in 3d now for sure.
- Kid Icarus Uprising: Spectacular 3d now at max level, finished this years ago, tempted to revisit the game. Pro tip: you can create your own thumb strap like this https://www.instructables.com/How-To-Make-A-Nintendo-DS3DS-Thumb-Stylus/ it works like a charm with KIU.
- 3D Classic Kid Icarus: Much better 3d now, but the game feels clunky nowadays.

"Do you test the codes with the CTRPF plugin or with Luma built-in cheats? Is your game ID the same as the one I posted?" I use luma with the cheats added to cheats.txt on game folder. I check https://3dsdb.com/ to make sure it's the correct version.

" I'm looking at Xenoblade right now" - I reaaally hope you succeed here, that game would be awesome with current 3d cheat and HUD at better depth.

The translation i used is this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/translation-release-ex-troopers-english-3ds.549958/ I'm using cia version.

Some codes only work if you load the throgh CTRPF plugin, so please try that with Ben 10. Also, Ex Troopers code don't support that old translation, try this instead: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-e-x-troopers-english-translation-3ds.622163/

Interesting, i'll try that tomorrow with Ben and a few others.
Thanks. Its a huge help to have someone to test the codes. Also, its good to know that the other codes that i posted earlier worked for you too. The Tales code looks pretty good to me, and im glad you also like it, but some people had told me that i tend to increase the effect to much, to thje point that it hurts to look the screen. If you have any comment about any of it, it would help me a lot. (like: ''the effect on x game it's to weak or ''too strong'', that kind of thing)

I tested Luigi's Mansion 1 and 2, Ex Troopers (English v1.0.2) and Tales of the Abyss and all are working just fine, thank you!
Also can confirm MH4U cheat won't work for me either. I'm using the EUR version of the game so could be this, but didn't have any problem using other cheats with any of my EUR games.

You'r welcome! :)

Can you do me a favor? Try this code on Xenoblade and let me know if the HUD is better, worse, or if hasn't changed at all.

I've tried it and it's pretty much the same as the [3D Effect+++] cheat posted in this thread. The models and the stage have the same depth but the HUD, battle menu, floating life bars, etc remain without any depth at all and way to close to the eye. :-(

Thanks for trying it. Yeah, no major change, but still i needeed someone aside me to try it on other console. Don't worry, im still working on it ;)

I have a whole new batch of code to test. They may need some tinkering. (I do most of the codes in my free time, at work or traveling home, therefore I don't usually test them much. Still, some of them, like Castlevania or DQVII, did had extensive testing)

Also, as far as i know, the battle menu doesn't have any depth, the only HUD element that has its own depth is the enemy' and party floating life bar and the floating banner with the name and lvl of the enemy.

What i have checked with the latest codes, using luma and cheats.txt:

- Mario Tennis - Really good 3d, never played it so the thing about moving the console up and 3d disappears is really annoying, i hope it can be played without that.
- The amazing spider man - works great in the intro, very nice 3d.
- Paper Mario SS - 3d looks amazing now, the first level has soo much depth now.
- Silver Falls: 3 Down Stars : Never heard of this game, looks interesting, nice improvement on the 3d effect.
- Thor: Fantastic 3d, much more immersive now, i'll play this for sure.
- Monster Hunter Stories: Woow at max level it looks fantastic, spectacular 3d in the forest at the beginning.
- Kirby Planet Robobot: Looks spectacular now at max 3d.
- Kirby Triple Deluxe : the 000400000010C00 in the description is missing an extra 0, so it couldn't find the codes until i modified the folder. [Parallax Barrier with Depth ++ (Deeper 3D)] didn't work, sometimes it froze the game or turns red on cheats menu, but [Parallax Barrier with Depth + (Deeper 3D)] worked well and gave a noticeable improvement in 3d.

I still have to look at the cheats with CTRPF.

About the strength of the 3d effect, i prefer the stronger the better lol, but i've been playing in 3d for nearly 15 years now mostly with 3d vision, so i can tolerate almost any 3d strength, no headache, no dizziness, no brain exploding, no losing sight, i think people are "oh that 3d was so strong my brain is going to explode or sight will be damaged permanently!". The truth is that nothing is going to happen to you or your eyesight for looking at too strong 3d, at all, and i know many people that game in 3d too and are just fine.

Even better is these codes have different levels of strength and then you can change the slider to make it perfect, so i really don't know what's the problem with having "too strong 3d", just change the cheat to less intense or move the slider until it feels better for you.

This is the case with Metroid cheat, at max level cheat, with slider at max, even I can't tolerate it much, so i lowered the slider a little bit until it was ok for me, done. I don't know why the rest of the people can't do something like that.

So in my case i'm all for ultra strong 3d, if you really believe it's too much maybe add [WARNING STRONG 3D Parallax Barrier with Depth ++++++++++++ (Ridiculous 3D)] , or something like that XD
