that's a super roundabout way to pull your support but still try to act like you care

Musk is contributing to a Super PAC, and that's all it ever was. Not direct campaign contributions or support. The claim that he was giving money to and supporting Trump directly came from the WSJ, and then re-published as fact by Reuters, AP, etc etc. But Musk tweeted in reply to WSJ on the day after they published their article that their claim was, "fake gnus."

He has since explained that WSJ greatly exaggerated the $$ amounts involved and misled wrt: the purpose of the PAC.

once again the story of him donating has been spreading for a few weeks now, if it wasn't true why not just say that from the start? only reason you wouldn't come out and say something would be the fact he planned on donating that 25mil until he saw the writing on the wall that trumps going down so then he backtracked

But he did.

I'm not taking any sides on the details of all this because I don't know those details and don't assume. The only thing I do see as verifiable with my own eyes is that Musk publicly called bullshit on the WSJ story on July 16, the day after they published it.

Again nothing to back up it would have been any different under Trump

And you know this, because...........

So you're arguing x65943's (factual) point that you have nothing to back up that it would have been any different under Trump? Okay. I'm game. Let's see what ya got.

That's just Forbes repeating what WSJ claimed. The original WSJ story is the only source, and Musk labeled it fake news (fake gnus) the day after they published it. Nobody paid attention to him though, they all just kept bleating the WSJ's story as fact.

And here's another tweet from Musk from yesterday (07/23) again saying WSJ got it all wrong. It is a pro-republican Super PAC, but Musk's recent political leanings have not been a secret. What doesn't seem to be accurate, however, is the viral story that popped up yesterday that he has "pulled back" or changed his mind about the money commitment to Trump that WSJ claimed he made, because he already said their story was fake before this shit snowballed.

yeah one meme tweet in response doesn't really count as saying he wasn't, if it did he wouldn't have come out today and actually said those words :P

I usually don't get in between bickering comments but paraphrasing he is just stating "I don't know and you don't either". I don't understand how your reply makes sense in that context.
The context was that Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster, but the Biden administration was following the withdrawal plan outlined by the Trump administration. The last 4 administrations all get some of the blame.

They were attempting to spin the situation as a Biden failure when that's far from how it played out

You can literally hear it from his own mouth in his recent interview with Jordan Peterson who asked him directly. Musk says he didn't technically donate to Trump (which if you're being pedantic is true but come on) because he donated to the super pac so that the Republican party could win as he feels they are closer to the ideals he believes in.

Wtf are you talking about, I'm literally saying he did the donation and posted a video where he says he did it. Are you that much of a flailing fool that you are gonna start swinging at those that aren't even against you?

And quit with the cope/copium crap in every post. It's fucking cringe and makes those of us on the left with an education embarrassed to be associated with you.

Sadly Gen z politics is all about getting digs and cheap wins at the expense of actual dialogue

Harris skips USA's no1 ally in the middle east's speech in Washington. That's right, instead of supporting the USA's no 1 ally in the middle east, Harris has basically been disrespectful to the entire Jewish people and to Israel, well done Harris - with friends like you, who needs enemies! I guess she doesn't care about Jewish people (or the prisoners that the terrorist group Hamas is holding). Does Harris hate America and support Terrorism - I guess she does.

Then you have BLM - Black Lives Matter Denounces Democrats for 'Anointing' Kamala Harris:

Well done Harris, mind you she's more Indian than Black - so it's off no concern to her what black people want and let's face it, what's she done in the last 3 and a half years for black people apart from make them poorer? She didn't care about them before either - no, she kept them in prison so she could use them as free labour (sounds like slavery to me).

Opposing Netanyahu and his human rights abuses is actually the right decision

Israel may be our ally, but that doesn't mean we should give them carte blanche to commit genocide

And mind you Harris didn't even do the above, just simply didn't go to a meeting with a corrupt racist proponent of racial segregation, ghettoization and genocide - because she had other commitments

I wish she skipped out of principle rather than convenience

Harris was part responsible as no2 in the Biden admin for giving Iran billions of dollars, which helped fund Hamas - she is pretty responsible for funding Hamas so they could invade Israel and murder over a thousand innocent people and then kept many of those people hostage.

Then to pour salt into the wounds of the Israeli people she was purposely disrespectful to their elected prime minister today - (you know the guy that people actually voted for - unlike her). I wonder how the Jewish voter will see this? Trump is a much better friend to Israel so that's just one of the many reasons he is going to be a better President.

1. Iran is more than capable of funding Hamas on its own - Hamas has existed for a loooong time

2. Netanyahu is human garbage, good

The $50 billion they were enriched by the Biden Admin sure helped them - yep that's right, your own USA hating politicians funded your enemies so that they could invade your allies.

As for your 2nd point - yep, well done - diss your allies, that's a good strategy to become weaker on the world stage and how to weaken the USA.
