got a question about save cloud. if i hack a switch and download my cloud saves on a hacked switch and re-upload them would i get banned? the reason i'm asking is because i have some games that are only offline play and i would love to move those saves with a hacked switch.

Depends on what you're trying to do? Modifying saves and uploading them back to cloud is risky and your console will most likely get banned / flagged for ban.

I believe that you can download them from the cloud if your sysNAND is clean. After that, I believe that you can boot into Atmosphere on sysNAND and use JKSV to make a backup of those saves. I can't say for sure whether this is safe to do - it should be (I guess you're just reading from the NAND, not writing to it), but I'm not 100% sure, so wait for someone else to reply as well. After that, you can restore those saves on your emuNAND and continue where you've left of, if that's what you're trying to do?

Any usage of CFW/homebrew can get your console banned when you go online such as when you download your cloud saves. You can get banned but you could also not get banned as bans are distributed randomly. Determine which is worth more to you; access to online functionality or your cloud save data.

yes to no use a pre created package, read the guide and upgrade everything from the official repos, Mainly Atmosphère and Hekate.
Tried it again using a blank SD card and the guide at rentry.org. No difference.

You tried the config in the hekate_ipl? HATS use fss0 instead of fusee.bin
I used the following ipl config:
Code:
[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=0
bootprotect=0

[Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp
I can see the Atmosphere splash screen but after that nothing happened.

  • Followed the NSW Level 2 guide from sthetix, nothing, still black screen when try to boot from sysnand.
  • Trying to reboot into OFW from hekate reboot also gives black screen.
  • Did the emmc benchmark, everything looks okay. I also don't see anything weird on the HW & Fuses info screen:

Starting to run out of options.
I think I'm going to check the DAT0 soldering and ohm values tonight.

It's not the update per se IMO but due to a potential mismatch in records between your switch and ninty's end. Officially, the only way to update OFW is by contacting ninty's server and retrieving said update, thus leaving a record on their end. But if you use daybreak, there's no record of your switch ever contacting ninty's server to retrieve said update yet you somehow managed to get it updated. Whether ninty bans for that though is up for debate and the question is honestly a hard to answer one. You will get both yes and no answers if you look it up.

Bear in mind that not everyone who gets banned because of x/y/z will report it and even those that do, it's hard to say if it is actually that particular action that they think got them banned or another thing. Even for those who have yet to be banned, it's hard to say whether they have been tagged by ninty and due for a delayed ban (because ninty doesn't always ban immediately).
You can also update via cardridge which would be offline without any connection to nintendos servers, or via switch to switch transfer, so using daybrake should be safe. The update itself could only be a problem, if someone is suddenly on a lower firmware, and even that is not clear.
Mostly its general telemetry that suddenly changes when you restore, like playtimes, errors send to nintendo and so on, which can potentially lead to bans. The relevant telemtry also stays when you do a normal factory reset btw.

If you use it on a clean nand (no nsp or xci isntallation), that can normally connect online, its not a problem. I already did that in the past for someone that got his modded switch banned. Just boot into a clean atmoshpere on your online nand of the modded console, so best the default config that comes with atmosphere, without any weird all in one packages that might include signature patches and homewbrew that installs itself on the system that you could accidentally boot into.
Atmosphere is build to be used safely online with its shipped defaults.
I'm using my switch just in CFW for many years now, but I'm also not using any XCI or NSP backups or cheats.

Its not realy CFW/homewbrew usage or random banning, its specific things done within CFW or payloads. Atmosphere is even targeting specifically being able to go online with its defaults, which is one of the reasons they are like they are.
Some problematic things are for example XCI/NSP installs of any kind (backup, pirated or homebrew), which will likely lead to a ban quickly.
Same for things negativelly affecting the online experience, like cheating and unsafe public romhacks while online or save game editing in the wrong games.
System restore can also lead to bans because of telemetry differences, through since atmosphere block some of it, it might be less of a problem with people not booting into stock, but about that I'm not sure, since I don't know the specifics about whats blocked and whats not blocked.
Atmospheres reswitched discord has a full list of things that are likely problematic.

i'm not modfiying my save's i'm just trying to back them up to use on ryujinx. also one more question about nand's there's 2 diffrent one's clean and emunand so i can install atmosphere emunand and get my save's through clean nand?

Tried to revert my Switch to stock by removing the hwfly mod. After removing, the Switch doesn't seem to power on. Could the accidental bridge between these components be the issue?

BLACK or RED bridge is ok, but NOT BLUE.

Remove the blue solder joint bridging your 3.3v to ground.

No, people have been banned without touching any .XCI or .NSP files. The banning hub has a full list of things that are likely problematic. Its also not 1 or 2 people; its close to 100 the last time I checked. These aren't isolated incidents.

guys help. just copying game called echo generation then i got this "error failed to open cnmt"

Was having problems with Atmosphere (1.6.2) giving me error 2002-4364 and couldn't find a solution (partition based emuMMC). So I bought a new sd card and created a new emuMMC on it and backed everything up on my old sd card root and also dumped entire emuMMC partition (1 file) using NxNandManager and also mounted and copied the contents of the SYSTEM and USER partitions. I copied over the contents of my backed up Nintendo folder containing my installed games to the same location on the newly created emuMMC partition but the games aren't showing up on the main home screen.

Am I able to copy over the tickets from my backed up emuMMC partition, SYSTEM, or USER partitions so that these games appear? If so, what folder are the tickets located in or how would I do this? Or if not, what do I need to do to get these games to appear? I have literally backed up everything so I would think it would be possible somehow, I just don't know how. I started trying to find all the NSP files again in case there's no other way but to reinstall the games that way, but I had many and it's proving to be quite tedious.

Or if anyone knows how to fix error 2002-4364 in Atmosphere, that would work as I still have the complete filesystems intact on that card. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm looking into it from time to time. But it's user reported data, and some might not know enough to know thing x or y is important and problematic, so its not reported.
A lot of aio packets also are build directly for piracy, and don't really setup anything with online use in mind. Some even blanked sys and emunand always by default, potentially resulting in weird logs in system components. Not sure if that's actually logged somewhere that's not blocked by atmosphere through.
Many aoi packages and tutorial are also more complex, then simple homebrew only setups, even just because they often recommend an emunand, adding a potential sources of errors leading to mismatched telemetry and so on.

That banning hub thread is also pretty old, so it has some reports from early on, when atmosphere was not blocking error report creation for example, and sxos for example didn't include error and creport blocking by default.

I also never stated that only xcis/nsps are problematic, it was just an example, I stated that just basic cfw with atmospheres defaults is pretty safe to use.
Also for some people self installing homebrew like tinfoil might also not be seen as xci/nsp, even through it's effectively the same. This is why I sometimes also include something like "or any other applications installed to the homescreen" when listing things that are problematic.
A more complete list of things that are very likely unsafe is in the reswitched Discord, and I'm more inclined to trust the atmosphere devs, then random user reports.
Especially when it matches what I experience with my family and friends switches, which are modded for use with sysdvr and sysclk while going online.
