None of the guides I can find are detailed or up to date. I recently bought an SD to memory card adapter for my gamecube and the guide said to put the gci's on the memory card with gcmm but the app gives an error when I try to do anything with the adapter card. I can't put it on one card and transfer it to the adapter in the Wii menu either because that also displays an error.

You don't use the adapter card but an actual memory card. The adapter card can only be used by homebrew (like swiss). Using the gci's are only a way to boot Swiss using a game expoit. In this scenario you'll always have 2 memory cards in your system. 1 to boot the exploit. 2 (sd card adapter) to use with swiss.

Thank you, this clears up a lot of confusion.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
