Hi,

Could someone share a forwarder for c2w patcher? I need it for wii station on vwii, launching it from the homebrew channel every single time is getting old fast, setting it up to autoboot at launch doesn't work because it would break other stuff and setting it up to launch it at boot by pressing one button works but I always forget about the buttons because I rarely play the Wii U. I'm using tiramisu btw. TY :)

Hi Marchrius! Hi meeeow!

meeeow, seriously, you're a genious man, so many told me it wasn't possible for overclock! was it made by you?

=> Seems the "sign_c2w_patcher" program must be put in the "sign_c2w_patcher" directory in apps.

Anybody knows how to :
1st figure out it was it this "sign_c2w_patcher" directory? (possible to edit a file somewhere?)
2st change something inside the file so I can put it in a "overclock" directory?

ok, then it's not a channel but a forwarder.

I did not create the channel but downloaded it from a link given here 1-3 years ago. My best guess is that credits go to Ploggy...

what if I don't particularly like the future
What exactly is it you don't like? So far I see reasons why you would like it only:
- No HBL, so no extra step before starting things you need.
- Hassle free c2w_patches (activating at boot but won't break anything).

Well, I understand his point. If you have 90 games as WIIU Channels, and 46 apps in HBL, do you see the point?
If he wants the 33th apps in wiiu\app folder, he'll have to click so many many times to get to the app....Maybe 8 but a need to scan all tiles. If you stay in Tiramisu, you click on the Homebrew Channel and go right maybe 6 times and click

@mrmagicm Create a folder called HBL and put all homebrews inside of that: Problem solved and you will have to scroll less + the time of loading HBL will be completely gone, so even faster access. See, Aroma makes everything better but nothing worse...

Anyway, the question was for marchrius, not for you. ;)

You had me on this.
Yes, but you responded to me and I assume marchrius was thinking of same drawback for Aroma compared to tiramisu like I was . Maybe he was thinking also about something else and will tell us.
It's not writen when I read about Aroma in the forum that you can do this that but it should be pointed like you did ;-)

Anyway PLOGGY, did you do this awesome forwarder? Thought it wasn't feasable for many and you did it?

Yes exactly, it's just way more convenient for me. I had a somewhat difficult time already when I upgraded from CBHC to Tiramisu, because some forwarders I had got broken and other minor issues that took me hours to fix.

Also I don't want stuff to run automatically at boot because then I forget/don't notice I have them running and that could lead to problems if I launch channels other than the PSX vWii emulator I'm using. I also noticed the system is a bit more unstable when c2w patcher is running and crashes are frequent (especially if I open and close several homebrew apps without rebooting) so I want to be sure I'm the one launching it.

Lastly, I don't want stuff to run at boot by pressing a button because after some weeks or months I completely forget which button I need to press lmao.

How could that cause problems?
Also why care what's running in the background? Set it up one time, be happy forever. ;)

But the patches get applied while loading the Wii forwarder, not before. So far there are 0 reports about instability caused by the aroma c2w_patcher plugins and it hasn't been released yesterday.

Aroma actually gives you more stability with such things than any CFW before.

Lastly, I don't want stuff to run at boot by pressing a button
Then just don't do it? Why would you need to press any button while booting Aroma? It's automatic coldboot, just like Tiramisu. In fact Tiramisu supports exactly the same boot buttons things than Aroma. Well not true, Tiramisu has even more possible buttons to press than Aroma, so with Tiramisu you need to remember more buttons in case you really need that (which I highly doubt).

I can just highly suggest to at least try Aroma: You can install it beside Tiramisu and deinstalling it in case you dislike it is as simple as removing a folder from your SD card... But then again it's all up to you and if you feel more compfortable with Tiramisu that's fine too. Just saying that you're missing a lot of cool stuff for no reason.

Easy, because sometime, you update a file on the SD, and this creates a bug because it's not compatible with a plugin or something you forgot that was launching up, then, you don't know at all from what you new problem comes from... This happen often on wiiU.
PLOGGY, please try to think from where you had the Forwarder and who was the Genious, he deserves Credits!

Question: what does the overclock forwarder icon look like? Something like this:
11302-overclock1260x709.jpg

? If so, I created that.

It's funny how people will get ready to fight one over their desire to use Tiramisu over Aroma. Like, Maschell released both to appease everyone, because there are things that each can do that the other can't. Yes Aroma does offer more options, but next to none of them supercede the things I enjoy about Tiramisu that Aroma can't do. In a perfect world, we'd have an environment that can do it all. But until then, Tiramisu will always be my go-to over Aroma, and I know well at this point that I'm far from the only one.

Plus, for my needs specifically, until someone creates a proper MK8 Cafe Loader for Aroma, I have to stay in Tiramisu for the MK8 Ultimate modpack I've continued to work on, as that won't work in Aroma with the version of the plugin we have, and I'm not educated enough to be the guy to make it work in Aroma lol.

I'm sure you have an example of this, right. So enlighten us, please.
I'm especially interrested in an example of my c2w patcher plugin causing crashes as there are still zero reports of this but I can't fix these crashes when you don't report them.

See, you can be on any CFW you want but don't spread false arguments, please.

It's funny how people will get ready to fight one over their desire to use Tiramisu over Aroma.
I'm not fighting, just telling the things some people want are way more simple on Aroma (for example the c2w patcher plugin not causing any crashes at all cause, again, it's completely inactive until you start a compatible title, while older c2w implementations cause crashes when you activate them but then start an incompatible title or something).
Everyone is free to use whatever CFW but I don't like it when people like mrmagicm spread lies, telling my software is unstable without beeing able to prove their words.

Is the source code for your plugin available?
