your order those same mine right? so you dont have problems using then?? i mean most moderators here toll me they dont suport " those chips" and because i dont have an support still cant figure out if they need or no updated,in the store they say " pre installed firmwarethey say this in their website "All chip pre installed stable firmwares, suport all consoles directly! No suggest flash to unstable 0.7.2 !",The idea is when I run out of these chips to be able to use the ones that everyone in the group uses, BUT the flex option is very comfortable for those of us who are not professionals,so today i will try to update one of this chips via toolbox,i dont have more options,pc never see then,if the chip burns or dont acept the update i totally loss

The pc does not detect them, I have tried in all possible ways, I pressed the boot button, I did not press it and nothing, the pc does not see them, if I connect one of my old hwfly using the same cable, the same mini ubs port the pc does Go right away and I can update them without problem using the bat.bin file, unless of course I'm doing something wrong but it's not NASA science, that is, the PC should recognize them but it doesn't, only when the chip is connected to the switch turn on the leds
press and hold the boot button then connect to pc as simple as that, and makesure you didnt flip the usb connector the rp will fried, ask me how did i know LOL

Hello thanks, one finally worked for me, I was able to connect it to my PC and I detected it, now the question is, how do I know that when updating the chip it received the update well and did not cause damage? Here I put the info that the pc shows me when connecting the chip, now that I update it (it's just copy and paste correct) it gives me a yellow light that blinks 2 times
,this the infor i can see inside the chip

Oh you opensourced the firmware now?
I only tried some others mini usb ports, that is, another usb card and this chip was recognized by the pc, when it entered it gave me that information, after copying the update, the chip gives 2 yellow lights, how can I know if it worked or was it damaged?,what this info mean??

Is the github page for the firmwares a dodgy place to download the uf2 files? Should we always download the files from here? I only ask because i botched the install of my lite yesterday and was thinking about what wrong all day today....that was the only thing I could think of that could have messed up all the work. Potentially....

There have been instances where Rehius uploads a firmware, discovers an issue with it, quickly releases an update to fix that error, but the Github not being run by Rehius doesn't get updated as quickly.

Being directed to that github would result in an outdated firmware, so the Definitive Guide now refers people directly to Rehius' Firmware Post.

I see. Well, going to reball the bsod on my lite. Reflash using 2.73 from uf2 from here and go again. I need to know if it was my mosfet setup or not!!!!! Thanks again.

Quick question: Im on 2.67 with my switch lite and I dont have any problems with it. Do I need to update to 2.73 for better stability etc. or am I good?

It's always suggested to update to latest firmware, but if you don't feel like it, then nobody is pushing you to do so.

I am successfully running 2.73 on my V1 patched and two switch lites.

IMO, I'd still double check everything around the APU and everything on the other side of the motherboard for the APU, visual\short test. Especially the caps, I don't see how a Lite-PFly install would mess up the APU BGA, so a reflow\reball wouldn't help.

My take: there is zero benefit in updating an already working 2.67 install to 2.73 since no new post-install features were added and no new post-install improvements were made. So don't fix it if it ain't broken.
