I'd say they are all great games, but I could very much see people thinking Link's Awakening is better.

Mostly before. The OG Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 all had fantastic games. Gen 7 consoles were the biggest push towards making the game consoles into glorified media centers with PC-like hardware in them, and that was a huge turn-off for me. It sort of took the focus away from the games, and many of the games used too much bloom, or were saturated in different shades of brown, striving for too much realism that they just couldn't deliver like today's consoles can. I love the PS4 and PS5 games though, they're pretty good.

All sounds fair to me. It’s funny, I remember when they first started showing their moves towards all the media centre console stuff and people were like, why the fuck would I want all of this on my games console.

Now people are like ‘Netflix on Switch when’.

What are the games that you just hate the most? Here are mine and the reasons why I hate them:

1. Fortnite, Among Us: Freaking OVERRATED!
2. Cooking Mama: I cannot stand Mama's face that appears when you fail a task. Gosh, I hate her. The series is very childish as well.
3. Pokémon: Also overrated. And not only that, there are lots of overrated characters like Lucario (why do people like him so much?)
4. Final Fantasy: Apart from my not so good skills in RPGs, I have an hate for this series because everybody plays it and is never tired.

I recently played some of the old LEGO video games, and absolutely hated them. They really lost their charm for me, especially after playing multiple games and seeing how they are all practically the same.

They've been doing that for a long time but their games were still great. Then everything changed during Switch era with the only good main Pokemon game being Sword/Shield. I blame Pokemon GO's success for making Pokemon Company realize that they don't have to put effort at their games anymore to make profit. Just like with Sonic games, with its fandom buying every Sonic game that gets released even if it's trash (excluding Sonic Boom). 3DS was the last great generation for Pokemon franchise.

I hate gacha games. These games are toxic, preying on vulnerable people and should be outlawed all around the globe. Some countries already did it, I wish mine would follow suit.

Lots of people play gatcha games without spending a single penny. Only a tiny minority spend a fortune at that kind of games (also known as whales). Also the money people spend at gatcha (even the addictive ones) are nothing compare to money that people spend in many other crap like prostitutes, gamble games, drugs, alcohol etc. You sound like these boomers that blame violent video games for real life crimes.

People cry about gatcha games while there are lots of stuff even worse at video games. Here are some of them:
Paid DLCs, overpriced games, rushed games that are still thrash even with updates", misleading trailers, games forcing you to be online even at single player premium games, DENUVO, bullshit bans at online games...

Also it's funny when people demonizing gatcha games so much while same people have been spending years and money at MMOs since the 2000s.

I suppose if I had to pick a worst game I've ever played it would have to be Underwurlde for the ZX Spectrum. Ultimate Play the Game or Rare as we now know them had a lot of good games back on the Spectrum. This is by far their worst.

Metroid Prime, and I made a whole topic about it a while back just to trash talk it (and basically everything after Zero Mission). Very controversial stuff. I mean I can see why people like it, but there are certain things about it that just aren't for me. Too much stop and go.

I also recently hate-finished Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. I played it on PS3 and it was one of the most disorienting experiences of my gaming life. The map and perspective shifts are absolute chaos. By the end of the game I was still getting lost on every other screen. I think it must have been better on 3DS with 3D permanently enabled to give a better sense of where the hell you are at any given moment. But without that, it's one of the most confusing maps of all time.

I dislike how Haze and Lair seem like deliberate attempts by Sony to bankrupt Factor 5 and Free Radical, two companies that really helped the N64 not flop over the Saturn.

I dislike Aliens: Fireteam (or whatever it's called) for being so so so cheap and not fun. I get it's a money sink for future quality stuff like AI but come on, at least the Predator one is enjoyable.

The Aliens franchise actually has an excellent track record in computer gaming. Seems reckless to reskin Operation Racooon City with Aliens and make it shit to boot.
