Can I ask if anyone know why my new 3ds xl does not display an info bubble when highlighting a game on the bottom screen? Like in the image below
()

This shows the game name and the publisher. I have nothing at all, only the game icon.

Are you at the single row zoom level? Any multi-row zoom won't show that

You can either install it with GodMode9 or install it from a 3DSX version of FBI (or just use it as 3DSX) just like you did the first time

If you delete the GodMode9 firm it won't be accessible, but it's trivial to just download it and put it back on the SD thus making it accessible again

I did that but now with that combo it boots into luma. Is there a way to to prevent that?

Make sure "show user nand string.." is checked, then hit "start".
Thank, will give it a try.

Hacked another 2ds XL yesterday and deleted boot.firm but can still boot into gm9. Tried without SD card and still boots into gm9 with button combination. What's going on?

Is there a project for replacing the NDS-mode firmware on 3ds? I have a specific need (my headphones jack always reports itself as being 'in use' due to water damage; recent patches to Luma3DS fixes this for 3DS mode and I'm using an older version of OAF that uses "incorrect" headphone detection to bypass the headphone detection there) and would like to aim my hack-of-a-hack request at the appropriate project

I just upgraded Luma3DS from 1.10 to 1.12, do I also need to upgrade Bootstrap9 ? Mine's probably 5+ years old. My 3DS works fine with CFW, but I wanted to update the CFW stuff before I upgrade the 3DS firmware.

if it works, no, but there was an update 1.4 to make it boot faster iirc. you may not have that as it's fairly recent.

You mean from v.10.1 to v.12?

You're sure you're on b9s? If so, sure, you can update it.

That's the way to do it, you need to update to Luma3DS v.11 (or v.12) first then update the 3ds firmware (to 11.16).

I went ahead and updated Bootstrap9 and it's definitely booting faster. Had a 5 seconds panic mode after updating it but I remembered I had to hold the power button to turn it off and then replace the boot.firm with Luma's. I wonder if there's anything else I need to update.

Hello there! I've recently gotten back to using my 3ds and had a question. If I factory reset my 3ds, do all the hacks go away too? I forgot the password to my Nintendo Network account, so I can't really download anything or update my games. Of course I've tried to reset it, but for some reason I never get the email to do so and nintendo support hasn't been helpful. I just wanted to know in case I need to hack it all over again.

Hi there, is it possible to have two NNIDs and friend codes using EmuNAND? (So I have my main NNID and Friene Code on my SysNAND, and then create a new NNID specifically for use on this new EmuNAND)

Doing a system format won't remove cfw.

You're trying to gain access to your NNID after losing the password? There's no other option than contacting Nintendo Support (if resetting pw didn't work)..

2 at the same time on emunand? No.

That could work. But don't be surprised if you get banned out of the blue.

So if I format it there won't be any trouble? It'll just remove my data and keep cfw, and start it up normally?

And yeah, as I said I already tried nintendo support, but they haven't been helpful at all. So I want to reset it now while the e-shop is still available.

What do you mean? When you do a system format, you can make a new NNID if you want to.

Yes. As long as you don't remove the necessary cfw files from your sd card (Luma3DS), though it can be easily replaced if you do.

Yeah so, my 3DS won't connect to my internet router or pretty much any other router i try to connect to, it just do not communicate... BUT it does connect to hotspots i create on my computer. Why the fuck is that? Isn't it connecting, in the end, to the exactly same thing it couldn't connect a few moments before?
Maybe this is not a 3DS noob question, but a general tech shit noob question, but still, i just follow the instructions you guys provide, i know nothing lol
I really would like to be able to fix this, needing to boot up my computer everytime i want to do something online on my 3DS is really annoying.
