Arcade, SNES, NES etc setup for switch help

Hi,
i have a V1 switch, want to run emulators on it now, whats the best way to do it.
want to use the old games like galaga, donkey kong, donkey kong junior.
There were different emulators like mame etc etc.
i have also downloade SNES and gameboy advane onlin, which are all online and you have to go online.. which my mod stops me from doing.

Can you please tell your expert opinion the best way to do this.

they have single player modes as well but unless you want to go down the path of hacking/injecting roms (doable but less fun.)

Can you please tell your expert opinion the best way to do this.

installing retroarch ,
after updating cheats ,,, cant go back to main menu >> to import contents and scan directory..
how do i go back to main menu of retroarch on switch..

PS it says update cheats will take about 30 min mine take couple of minutes and then a tick appears to the right side of extracting cheats zip ...
shall i wait for this to complete,, how do i know its competed,, does the tick means its compete???

(B) to go back is the way it’s supposed to work. Not sure why it’s not working in your case.

i had to wait for the tick box to go away and its going back now,,,,waited for atleast 25 min.
how do i put the mame roms in there..

Waiting is good. took just a little less time than they said so that’s good.

You will need to add the MAME core that matches your rom stash. Check out the link I posted above, it talks about where to put roms and how to navigate to them.

I have installed the retroarch and the roms are in the rom folders on root of sd card.#
few questions
how do i come out of retroarch while playing a game.
Do i have to go back to retroarch while keep pressing the R button and launching a game..
or can i go to library and select retroarch and then any rom.
i downloaded a complete nes rom pack that had around 1000 games, which are now installed. i only want to play a couple how do i tidy up my retroarch games folder.
can i just deleted the installed games which are not needed.

if you installed a forwarder on your main screen it automatically handles the title override thing for you so you don’t need to press R. If you are launching from HBMenu you will need to ensure hbmenu is opened via title override (press and hold R). When going back into Retroarch after hitting the home button, the game is still running so you just click the active icon and it will,start where it left off.

yes, you can simply delete anything you don’t want. Be sure to refresh.

well i have cheked the thread its 7 pages long and i could not find the answer.
My switch is connected via MTP
the roms folder snes where all the roms were copied is not showing any files in it..
i think they have been installed and cant see them in the folder.
can you tell me how to find and delete the extra roms.
