Switch not connecting to pc via usb

In the past I hacked my switch and everything worked fine. My cousin asked to buy him one and hack it, did that but when I enter RCM Pc doesnt make the connect sound nor does Tegra recognize and RCM device. What should I do?

In the tegrasmashgui setting section there is a button you can click on to install the libusbk driver

I installed the driver but it still doesnt connect to my pc, the other switch does connect doe

Yes, the new switch does go into rcm, as when I press volume up + power the screen is still black, it just doesnt connect to the pc

Try different cable, different port.

You can try a different computer I guess if you have one, you might got a case of bad usb port, that it only charge not data.

I think it might be that, as i tried my laptop too and the switch doesnt connect to it either, thanks for the help

Does the switch charge?
Check the usb port!
Check the joycon rail, had this once, replaced the rail, that die the trick.
Reinstall tegra, first reboot, and try again

If the PC works on your switch and not your friend's the PC is working

Are you sure the Switch you bought is an unpatched unit?

Did you check if your switch is an unpatched unit? You can also try to install drivers with Zadig...

The tegrasmashgui driver installer has never once worked for me personally. It will do exactly what OP is experiencing (successfully installing but not working)

I’ve always had to locate and use the standalone likusbk installer
