The Weekend for the Video Games.

It's just that it's been 7 years since the last brand-new 'actual' Legend of Zelda game - 2013's A Link Between Worlds - and that's a mighty large wait for folks who found Breath of the Wild massively disappointing.
I get that they needed all hands on deck for this experiment, this throwback to Zelda I (except that Zelda I didn't have weapon or shield fragility or limited stamina or survival mechanics...), due to how large it was. I also get that capitalising on BotW's in-my-opinion undeserved success and critical acclaim with BotW2 is a smart business move. But when that results in almost a decade without something brand-new and actually good to experience...sigh.

Could be worse - it could be Kid Icarus, which received only one game after twenty-five years then seemingly died again - but still not great.

A large part of that is due to the Wii U getting skipped due to how unsuccessful it was. It should have had its own Zelda game, but it got two remasters instead, and BotW which should have been a Wii U game ended up being a simultaneous multiplatform launch. Wind Waker HD was a well made remaster and looks really good with the improved lighting and I'm glad they made it, Twilight Princess HD on the other hand still looked and felt like the exact same game and while it's still a good game, it just didn't felt like it offered any notable improvements. I would have taken a new Zelda game over either but I can see why that wouldn't have been the best decision business wise.

As you maybe noticed,the Guitar Hero LIVE Concert in Wii U SSD on Saturday was posponed during a lack of USB Receivers.




As Alternative I will finally try Mass Effect 3.



I honestly do not know what to expect,but we will see.

Also the Mayflash GameCube Adapter arrived this Week



and the Chance for an Mario Party Session is also very high.

The Weather does not really invite you to take a Bath in the Lake,so nothing stands in the Way of a Gaming Weekend.

How is it going on your "Gaming" Side ?
I hope you all enjoy your actual Video Gaming Devices and Games and have Fun.

Another Weekend stands before and this time I have some really "different" Things for playing.


A really nice and kind Guy sends me this Week an USB Stick with some miracle Work on it:




An fully configured Amiga Emulator for Windows.

For Explanation: I have tried it for Years to get it WinUAE reasonable to work and to play my favorite Games.....I always failed......
Then I met this wonderful Guy and we talked a little and....you know now the Story.


For this Weekend i will play many,many,many Amiga Games.


BUT

That is not all.

A long Time ago I had many Games for the ScummVM Application.

Also the "unofficial" Talkie Versions of "The Secret of Monkey Island" and the official "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis".
And exact this two Version also "appeared" again in my Life (thanks again to the wonderful and very kind Guy - Thank you my Friend).

....and what could be nicer than play it on an Handheld - the New3DS XL (Thank you so much @KleinesSinchen - She "suggested" this Device to me..)




As you see,I have much "work" to do on this Weekend and I am very,very excited and I am really looking forward to it.

Yesterday the Resident Evil 3 Remake Demo was finally released for PC.



I really enjoyed it.
Now I am looking forward for the 3rd April.


After that I am going Underground to BLACK MESA.
A Fan-made re-imagining of Valve Software’s Half-Life.



Really great Game,the Atmosphere is like in Half Life.
The Enemies are really strong....

So,if someone looks for me...I am maybe in Black Mesa the next Days.

Hello fellow (weekend) Gamers.

This actual Situation probably messes up the daily Routine.
It is Wednesday but I think
Video Games have become an important Part of Life for many People in recent Weeks.

Today I decided to pay some Attention to a very well known Nintendo Video Console.Unfortunately, this very well known Console has "fallen behind" due to various Circumstances that have already been discussed many Times in the Forum.

Our ever popular Wii U.

This great Piece made of Plastic and Metal has been very entertaining for me in the last few Days,as I have now discovered a "new" Way for me to "replay" Wii and GameCube Games.

Since I want to spend the Evenings in the same Room with my Wife and our Pets (my Wife likes to watch Series and funny Films at the Moment) and I do not just want to play only PSP / DSi / 3DS Games with her and next to her,the Wii U made me "asked" to use the Wii U GamePad.

So with this Setup



and the modded vWii and with USBLoader GX
I can play actual around 5 Hours without Charging Cable.
It maybe looke a little "Strange" but who cares...
(maybe I should consider to do no Guitar Hero/Rockband/Just Dance Session...)

So there are enough Games for the next Weeks (Work and this Things is actual "cancelled" as you maybe know...)
to play pleasant and cozy and having nice Evenings together.

Hello Weekend Gamers.

Today,April 3rd,around 2 or 3 o´Clock in the Morning here in Austria,I looked on my Steam Account and.....
Resident Evil 3 Remake is there for Download.

Around 4h in the Morning is started this Game (I was very excited,not reading much about the "possible" Changes and that Stuff..)

So I was really surprised about the first 15 Minutes with no Rest and constantly stopped breathing (Quote Jill:"Somehow...I´m still alive...").

The first Encounters with Nemesis are hard but not unsolvable.
By the Way,he looks awesome.

As you maybe noticed,Jill has her original Resident Evil 3 Outfit.It was included because I Pre-Ordered the Game.
Actual I try it on "Veteran" Level with a lot less Ammunition.

There are "surprise" Moments and a complete new "Power Plant" Part.

Yes,it was very quiet here in the last Time......
I was unable to myself...to make some Game Events or Nights...
I do not really know,what kept me from doing it.

So for this beautiful May Weekend I get myself an "Butt Kick" and decided to do something again.

As you maybe read in the Wii Section,"Just Dance" Games are one of my favorite Game Series.
And together with a lot "new" modded Version,I will try to get back in my "John Travolta" Shape to Dance like hell.

This Summer I did not really "enjoy" Video Game playing ... literally and figuratively speaking.
At the Moment I spend a lot of Time reading Books and mainly on the Weekends I enjoy my free Time with my Wife and our Doggi.
And I play Video Games mostly on the PC right now.

Serious Sam 4,The Witcher III,Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine,Syberia 3 and Syberia the Worls before - Prologue,Stonekeep,....

When I take an Video Console,I choose the PSP-2004 or the New3DS XL.Playing such Games like Darts 3D or GameBoy Advance Emulation.To relax.

As you maybe have seen in the Forum,my Dreamcast has a little changed:



Otherwise no bigger Updates on the other Consoles/Handhelds.

Oh,if everything goes well,I got a Wii Motion Controller with Yoshi Design (used).


So I am happy about any GBAtemp Friend,who is still reading this Blog.

What do you think of Shenmue III, the Kickstarted one? Since I saw Shenmue II on your list? From what I saw, it's incredibly tedious, with very little story relevance and a massive reliance on in-game gambling in order to get enough in-game currency to buy things to progress - and the fortune-teller not being 100% accurate either. Oh, and the fighting system's worse now too.

Personal I am happy about a 3rd Part..but I am very unsure...I have downloaded a "Free Version" PC Version (sure,free....of course..).
But I never tried it and finally I deleted it....there is/was a Thread here on GBAtemp about it and it makes me also not "delighted"....

So,I will wait until it is released on Steam and of course for a reasonable Price....but for the Moment I am not really convinced.

When I look back the last Weeks,maybe I should "change" the Blog Title into "Gaming Time".
The Gaming Times has changed a little in the last Months,so it is no longer only for the Weekends.

Also the Platform(s).It also changes and becomes more and more the PC.

Actual I am playing:

When I am through,I will make an Review too.
Unfortunately,this Game has a little Video Issues under Windows 10 x64 (Video Cutcenes have only Black Screen).
But the Game runs fine and there are not so many Videos.

Both Games have a little "localized Changes" in Graphics in the German Versions,but for both Games there are Uncut Patches.

Aside these,my actual Shooter Choice is......if you look on my Avatar Picture,you maybe guess it.
I made a little Videos and Pictures from that Games of the Series and maybe also Reviews will follow.

Hello,fellow Christmas Gamers.

After a few Weeks I have played through the "Wolfenstein" Game Universe.

- Wolfenstein (2009)
- Wolfenstein - The old Blood
- Wolfenstein - The new Order
- Wolfenstein - The new Colossus

I must say,the Games makes Fun,to a certain degree.
Maybe it is my Elder or some Games like Far Cry (3,4,5) makes me a little "soft"...

These very disturbing (for me) Characters and their Behavior made me a little uncomfortable now and then,honestly.
Herr Strasse and Frau Engel may portray the Image of the NS Regime perfectly,but the secondary Violence depiction(s) in some Sequences was sometimes,I put it this way,"exaggerate" in my Opinion..

Yes,some say now "These are Wolfenstein Games..." and that is correct.They just stand for obvious Violence.
Maybe it is also the realistic Graphics in these Games....

But,as Fans of the Game Series maybe have noticed,there is an other Point:
Where is "Youngblood" ?
That is a good Question and very simple to Answer:
I do not like it.
Wolfenstein is a "Men´s World".And I always want to play it alone.
And a Game,which was obviously designed for Multiplayer,with this 2 annoying "Amazons" (the CPU Player is awful...) and with "moderate" Single Player Fun,is not my Thing.After a short Time in the First Level (Zeppelin) I lost every single Motivation and Gaming Fun.
...so I will leave it for the Moment.

Another News for Assassins Creed:
Valhalla has arrived on my PC.
I got an -20% Rabatt Deal in the Ubi Store.

The first Impression is,of course,"Odyssey" in Norway.






I have started and played until the Introduction was over and I was on my first "Mission".

As you also maybe know,I will not only have my "Pink Background on my Profile Page" Christmas Wish.
My Wife and I agreed,I can get a new Graphic Card for Christmas.

Very nice,but when we have waited until the next Weeks...you maybe know the Delivery Situation on "some" GeForce Cards actual..
And it was a little "Odyssey".
First I want a Gainward GTX 1660 Ti .
Ordered,cancelled after one Day - Ready to Ship usually in 1 - 2 Months.
