oh ok but no biggie it was mostly likely cause i left the all clothes activated when getting into storage. i don't activate it often and usually turn it off
ok on a freshly started file i started a few days ago, just on day 4 of spring and no crashes to report with v3 from me. i'll keep playing from this file and let you know if i run into any bugs.
Yeah, this is definitely trickier than I thought-- though honestly, I've never really bug tested before, so I'm just trying everything I can to get the crash to proc-- and it truly does seem random. Gift giving is hit or miss with crashing, and it only seems to crash when you talk to shopkeeper npcs or bachelor/ettes. Other npcs I haven't had an issue with. I've crashed so far with Ford, Lisette and Kasumi. I went and tested with NTR 3.2 instead of 3.3 and I did go significantly longer before I experienced a crash, but that could have just been random chance. One thing I did note is that the crash doesn't seem to happen immediately after booting up the game for me-- I crash after several minutes, after having dialogues with a couple npcs at the very least. Again, it could just be random chance, but maybe it has something to do with the game's memory?
Idk, I wish I could be more helpful with this. >_< With regards to the kimono, maybe a shade similar to this one would be nice? (Blue is my favorite color....)

No, went back to v3 cos I didn't get any crashes on v2, and I played quite a bit with v2 before with no crashes either.
Alright, so v3.0 is definitely the culprit. If it is memory issues, I'm not sure how I'll be able to solve that. Since the crashes seem random, I'll have to check which files are the culprit by taking 3.0's files out one by one. I don't think ntr is the issue either, because I'm using luma and having the same crashing issues.
Also: does this recolor of the kimono look better?

Aaaa I love that! Especially with the green gradient. I'd wear that in a heartbeat ;u;
looks great and so far no crashes, been giving gifts to wayne and lissete and i've been using ntr cheats just fine as well. i am also using the hamtaro patch.

I'll give a new save file a try as well. Maybe it just boils down to the update changing so much that old saves aren't compatible for some reason?
When I had the crash earlier I was using a old save but already married to Ford so not sure if I would have had an issue or not if I wasn't already married
I don't think that's the case, I've been using a new save to test out the crashes and have been getting crashes

So, if you're having crashing issues try deleting or renaming the EventConfessCommon.nut file, and see if you continue to get crashes. If you still continue to get crashes, try renaming/deleting the Msg.xbb file. If that still doesn't work, please let me know so I can continue looking for the file causing this!

Will test this right away! Out of curiosity, what do those files do? (Don't feel obligated to answer this, I'm so noobish with programming stuff that I probably won't understand anyway, but I'm a curious person by nature xD)
The Msg.xbb file contains all of the game's dialogue. If the file's gotten too long or if I messed up a pointer somewhere, it can cause crashes. The EventConfessCommon.nut contains the script that runs the confessions scenes. Honestly I'm not sure why this one would be causing crashes, but I haven't gotten a crash yet with it removed, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Wow, and the patch still works without them? That's really cool. Side note: Just did a quick lap around the towns, talked to npcs, checked out shops, gave gifts, triggered another friend event-- no crash, yet, with the EventConfessCommon.nut file removed. Still early, but it looks really promising!
Yup, ntr and luma replaces the original files with the files in my patch, so when you remove a file from the patch the game runs the original unedited file instead. The only thing you lose really is all the edits I made to the confession event scenes and dialogue (if you get rid of the Msg.xbb file).
I've got my fingers crossed for the EventConfessCommon to be the culprit. I need a break from this hack lol

Update: Don't know if this is even important but I thought it was funny, I removed Msg.xbb and triggered Ford's dark blue flower event, and this happened. Apparently my character's become a true silent protagonist!
Update 2: The rest of the event was nothing but ellipses, Fords portrait didn't even appear after that point xD Ran another test lap around the towns, no crash, so maybe it's some weird buggy interaction with the two files? Either way, it seems like the Event file is the preferable one to remove for the sake of the patch.

Yup those ellipses are normal because the Msg.xbb file from the patch contains all the edited dialogue, when you remove it the edited dialogue just won't show up in events.
Can you try using the regular Msg.xbb file, but not the confession file? I checked through the Msg.xbb file and it doesn't look like I messed anything up while editing it. I'm thinking that the ConfessionCommon is definitely what's wrong.
