Would it be possible to port the dos game Zork:Nemesis to the DS? It requires 8 MB of ram to play, but Quake required 10-12 MB of ram and it runs.

no. you can't run svga 640x480 on the ds. its the reason so many great svga scummvm games were never ported. there was a brief discussion about dsi-mode but nothing ever came of it.

I haven't played Zork Nemesis, but from what I've seen of it, the resolution might not be a problem. While the game runs at 640x480, the actual active area is just 512x320 surrounded by black borders, and the graphics could likely be scaled to 50% of their original size to neatly fit the DS screen. Of course, that would also require someone to carry out such a port, and the chances for that happening are probably rather slim. : )

scaling graphics was a conversation we had about scummvmds. in the end, no one was willing to take the time to do it, and agentq wasn't willing to try to port the game until someone did.
