I'll have to do some tests soon, maybe you should follow the link I gave you but with the last version of each file.
I don't promise that it should work but it is worth a try.

EDIT: @toto9992 Seems that CVer is used to check if the cartridge has to do an update or not. In this case you were able to launch it even if it bootloop. Maybe it needs some other ressources on the system... I think that NVer may be important too. And maybe other CIAs, I've got to think about it.

EDIT2: New idea... I think that NTR bypass cartridge update, doesn't it?

You CAN NOT run CARTRIDGES with games that came out after 9.6 on a N3DS with a CFW emunand on 9.5.

hello, after two days of suffering I've managed to create a emunand with "semifirmware" 10.2

commented the steps talk about the region EUR.

First, have a N3DS with emunand 9.5.

second, be installed as CIA sysupdater.

third, to download the firmware 3dsNus 10.2.0-28

steps.

One put the list of files in the Updates folder at the root of our sdcard once downloaded. (only used the files of list!!)

note: for eshop with free multi patcher use the option ignoreFirmware ON

Note 2: IMPORTANT!!! The eshop downloads only works UPDATES, DLC and OLD GAMES, new games from direct download eshop not boot.

Note 3: this works with 10.3, eshop works with hans (used 9.5 hax)

He is playing Senran Kagura 2 Deep Crimson CARTRIDGE with a system <9.6 and this cartridge needs at least the 9.6 update. Any explanation?

He is doing something that people have repeatedly told him to do at his own risk and have repeatedly warned new users NOT to do.

If you do what he did you are on your own for support and you cannot expect ANYONE on this site to help you because you have done something to your system that is repeatedly suggested you NOT do.

Your earlier idea about NTR is the only one with any merit tbh. I haven't tried using NTR so I have no idea if it does or does not bypass the cartridge update. I would expect it requires the use of the debugger though.

NTR does in fact bypass the cartridge update, however you still have the problem of the exheader expecting a higher revision of the kernel than is present. Even if you managed to do what the post you linked did, you are not updating native_firm which is what updates the kernel. So you will still get the problem of hanging on the 3ds logo.

Hey I dont mean to steal the thread, but I just grabbed a .3ds from some iso site and used RikuKH3's simple CIA converter, with the option to spoof to 9.2 to try this (for my N3DS 9.2 emunand). I feel like I missed something in this topic because afaik that's all that needs to be done. But I still hang on the 3ds boot screen too.

Did you download the available update it tells you about when you launch it?

This update needs to be spoofed as well.

I got that from another thread, must have not been spoofed because I deleted it and now the game launches. Thanks!
