Not your real name, because you didn't choose that, but rather your online handle. I used to go by "Joomla12", which got shortened to "Joom" by other people that I interacted with. I chose the name because "Joomla" is the Ethiopian term for "excitement", and I had no idea that a CMS with the same name existed at the time. Using this name, though, led to thousands of spam mail and weird Skype requests asking for "Joomla!" 0days and premium content. I blame this on the fact that I released a CS4 keygen under the "Joomla12" moniker. I wasn't part of a scene group at the time, so I just used my name. This caused me to regret the choice, so that is the cause of this thread's fruition.

This doesn't really apply to me :rofl2: as I was dumb enough to use my real name.
You really shouldn't have done that, anyway I really like my username, I knew if I was going to have many people call my name it needed to sound good, my username has different meanings here's 2: 1. How life can damage you or can better you as a sword can be used to protect or kill. 2. A fictional sword that could be made that's the strongest in a universe. Honestly that's all currently, I didn't put much thought into it, heh heh.

Yes. I tried changing my username but couldn't because I've been here way too long. I'd much rather be BlazingInfernape or HeroOfTime.

Nah, wouldn’t have used it otherwise, besides, it’s one of the names I get called in real life after a stupid conversation two friends had.

Occasionally I do see names on forums that I can’t believe people chose.

Nope, username is fine but the Real name is/was a problem as ~50% of the guys pretty much got my name (mostly younger ones) which helped a lot to make everyone think that people with this name are stupid idiots so lots of people make fun of my name -.-V (sadly they are mostly right about that and I feel like a weird exception from this rule)

Nah. Before I joined this site, I determined that it was time for me to take on a completely new moniker, so I spent two days figuring out something unique, and that read well. I'm completely pleased with this name.

Even though I've been mistaken for being female too many times to count, and I was told that I was being disrespectful of Pokemon for bastardizing the name of Vulpix. (That still tickles the hell out of me)
I also get asked if I'm a big fan of Fallout New Vegas, which I had never played before making this name.

I'm

And... apparently I've stopped using Death related user names.
Miss those days.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I always try to have something related to Death... because you know?
I'm dead on the inside.
VERY MUCH DEAD.

Like... watch real Gore for breakfast... I feel nothing, I regret nothing. I live no more.

Occasionally I'll get some really rough stares the tag I generally go by I don't wanna say. I did it for humor and making people laugh. Followed by my often troll appearance for short I'm called gag.

I feel like it doesn't matter much as anyone interested enough can do some adequate research on the internet and even find a very likely location of a person, unless you're paranoid/extremely careful to not post anything on the internet that could be a hint.

No, I choose careful. I changed few because it was getting too old or something like that. However, those few names I used was not regret. Just want a new one. :)

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image

but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
