Hello, I'm pretty new to all this kind of stuff and I was wondering on how you use the hexa stuff ?
I wanted to give dunban his monado back, like in the wii version, there was a cheat code that was letting you buy any item at any shop.
So if someone could help me, it would be very nice !

I finished the game in December, and am now playing through again in NG+. I've got a pretty good gist at save editing; I did create loads of custom Gems (thanks, @Laenthor!), and have discovered that Area Affinity lies at 0x0DF4-0DFD (with each area having two bytes - so Colony 9 is 0DF4-0DF5, Colony 6 is F6-F7, and so on).

However...whenever I try to add party members to my save, the game crashes whenever I open the main menu (i.e. press X). I don't know why that happens, when I copied what was in my "CLEAR!" save at 0x152318 to my NG+ save, exactly.
It seems like the game fails to load the character models used for the menu, since they never appear, and sometimes the screen goes all glitchy before the game crashes.
The 37-byte "Unknown" block immediately after it is filled with 00s, so...can't have anything to do with it. Truly weird.
Hello, I understand that it has been several years since your post was published, but I would be interested to know how you were able to make a "Custom Gem". I will be very grateful for your explanation.

This thread isn't helpful at all.

Hey, can you tell me how you were able to make custom gems? I've opened my save in HxD but even when looking at the offsets that were posted in this thread I can't seem to view the values the same way everyone here is viewing them. Like I know I have the Monado III equipped, but when I look at 0x3b14, it just shows up as 00s instead of "05000200" that was posted in the OP.
Did you figure it out? I want to add the Imperial Staff because that's the only thing missing from my otherwise 100% playtrough.

Did some try and error today.
0x000005F1 onwards are quests. They are sorted in order of their IDs and every quest is one byte.
00 = not accepted
01 = accepted
FE = completed
FF = completed with alternate path (Like "Financial Planning" in Colony 9 which has 2 outcomes)
Setting a quest to "00" makes it possible to accept it again. However it won't reset objectives like "Kill x Monster" and you can't turn it in. So progress is stored elsewhere

0x00000B05 onwards are harmony links between NPCs. Values Range from 00 to 07. Also sorted by IDs
00 means no link. 01 to 07 represent the strenght of the link. Description will change as well. If the value is higher than possible the game will always show the "highest" description. Values which are lower than possible will show no description above the link. Values above 07 will show "?" as emotion with description.
0x00000B07 is the link between "Dean" and "Sonia" for example
