A friend got a 'glitched' xbox 360 and when connected with HDMI, it doesnt seem to work, meaning it boots but it doesnt do that circle light flash before going into dash, doesnt show any video. It works fine with component cable
Have you tried another HDMI cable?
Worstcase is that your HANA is acting up.
Reflowing might solve the problem.

You could clean the contacts on the HDMI port itself.
Otherwise it's a fault with either the HANA or worst the GPU (but that would probably cause an RRoD)
It's either that or live with it and use component cables (or the standart AV pack)

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar -

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)+1 -

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
