Hi guys!

I'm wondering if I can install a 1.5tb HDD on a 360 slim
I read the specs and it has 9.5 mm height.
I also have a chinese enclosure.

Do you know if this hdd will fit in?
Also, do I still need fatxplorer or is it plug & play on a RGH 360 slim?
Can I just format it on the console and reconfigure xbox 1 compatibility partiton?

thanks!

If your console is modded, it'll work after formatting inside of the console.

After that, you can add back in the Xbox compatibility partition using an app or FATXplorer (latter is recommended).

If your console is stock, however, you're limited to only 500GB, since that is what Microsoft has officially released.

Thanks for your input.

Nominal 2.5" mechanical hard drive sizes will fit (I don't know the exact size - go look it up yourself).

I figure if it's a regular SSD, it'll have the same physical size as a mechanical.

But since you're talking about a mechanical hard drive, if it's out of spec (bigger than the 2.5" standard), it may not fit.

You could probably sand or grind it out, through. Won't be pretty, and you'd need to make sure all the remaining particles are removed and cleaned before using, however.

2.5 HDDs can vary in height from 5 to 15mm.
That's what I'm asking..
If anyone knows if a 9.5mm height can fit the slim enclosures.

Thx

9.5mm is not standard, you should look for drives that are 9mm as that is the standard size, which everything supports (SSDs are often 7mm, and as you said 15mm drives also exist, they are rare though and only in capacities greater than 2 TB)
