Gaming xbox 360 flashing problem

so i made the mod disc, have the sata port, with that recommended pci card thing, i cant recall what the exact name is, i also have a connectivity thing that powers my drive something with a button that says 300 under it and the button next to it is the eject button, but, i booted my computer and the disc loaded, asked me for the port of the card, then for stuff if flashing the liteon drive, then where to save, then after that it gives me a set of instructions, plugg in the 360 drive to power and sata port, push enter, hit Y, push enter again, remove power from drive but keep sata, wait 5sec, plug back in, then it should dump everything which it does then it goes to ask me if it dumped correctly hit y/n but at this point my computer decided to reboot itself.. i cant figure out what the heck is wrong, can anyone help??
