*sigh* Yeah...because the world has a major shortage of gaming consoles at this point.

I'm seriously wondering who'll be their main market for this thing. On the low end, it will be hard competing with the ouya and the gamestick. On the high end, there's the shield. And if you're more about actual AAA+ games, there are three actual contenders that are duking it out. And then I'm not counting the steambox and (apparently) what apple is up to.
Not to forget that it's getting all the much easier to just connect your pc to your television and use a wireless controller.

So yeah...I'm curious what google is going to bring to the table. A free, cloud-based console that works on adds and your willingness to give up your privacy?

Also...I feel sorry for the organisers at E3:

Microsoft: we just blew our reputation a few weeks ago. Let's hope there won't be an angry mob. Also: cancel the Britney Spears act.
Sony: we'll mostly do a rehash of last February. Also: we're handing out rotten tomatoes for those who want to visit that "competition" presentation next door.
Nintendo: a stage? Why would we need that? We'll just set up some stands.
Valve: no comment.
Ouya: we'll just advertise in your parking lot! :D
Google: we're working on things, but meh...we won't be bothered by going there.

They're going about it the wrong way; I'd be much more satisfied with an actual Key Lime Pie.

That can be arranged

Wait, that's the next Android OS?

I guess so...I can't think of any other deserts that start with 'K'. What would you call it?

Knickerbocker glory?

Key lime is a bit American but I suppose if you have Froyo and spell Doughnut like that you are already too far gone.

Also, a smartwatch, as part of a planned "major" Android expansion.

Sounds big(?) if real...

Would you need to charge your watch at night lol? I guess they could make it that you have to charge it to use any feature other then telling time, and if the battery dies power returns to a watch battery.

You'd still need to power the screen, the thing that usually takes the most battery.

I probably would only get the watch if they choose to go with some kind of colored e-paper (like Mirasol's or the lcd one that Amazon recently bought, etc..)
A watch is a thing that I don't want to be bothered about charging ...but if I can use it and charge only on the weekends, it would do.

How much does Google want to influence our lives? I'll pass on both. A smartwatch to track where we are 24/7? What's the purpose of an Android gaming console? To play smartphone games on a TV? lol
