I got mine, bought 10 games and then heard of flashcards. And I have finished many of them I've downloaded.

Pretty much the same as me except change that figure to 5 games.

And I will definitly buy the 3DS even if it would mean that I would have to buy every game I want to play on it. I only got a handful DS Games I really would have considered buying anyways.
So that is not really stopping me.

Exactly this. If the game is worth it, I'll buy it. This is why my PS3 remains unhacked and will always be unhacked. Hard work went into buying it and I feel good about myself each time I buy a game for it. Pirating the games wouldn't make me feel as accomplished.

Though, I do pirate DS games, I wouldn't be upset if I couldn't pirate them anymore.

Every single one of my 360's games is legitimately paid for--including lots of downloadable content.
But DS games never really seemed like something I would like enough to invest money in personally.

I remember holding the phat DS for the first time when a friend of mine purchased it. I myself owned a GBA SP at the time and the "surround"-ish sound really amazed me. I would have bought it back then had I the money. I am glad I didn't and waited for the Lite version.

Actually, I bought the DS long before there was any piracy for it. I bought my first DS the same month they initially launched.

But I probably wouldn't have bought a DS lite if there was no way to play backups on it.

Well since i bought my ds when there was no flash carts i would say yes.

My main purpose for buying a flash card was for my homebrew testing, just like for the GBA, but the ability to pirate was there. Bought my DS near release, and it was a good number of years after when I got my flash card.

Yeah didnt know there was such a thing, so it did not influence my decision at all. Same with my wii. When i bought it, didnt know i could hack it.

I had my DS before I even knew what a flash cart was, so the answer is, yes.

This, i even bought 2 games (Megaman Battle Network 5 and Lost Magic) for my DS a day before i bought my DS, becasue when i got to the store i was supposed to buy it in, they were all out. -.-

Sure i'm glad there is flashcarts etc, but i still try to buy all the really good games to support the companies.
