Hacking Would changing the ROM and getting a different one affect the SAV file?

I was playing one of my games on my acekard when i ran into a lot of problems. I tried to find a patch but i couldn't find one. So i decided to download an already patched ROM. But would changing the ROM affect my SAV file. By the way its a pokemon game and i want to keep my pokemon, would changing the ROM delete the SAV file?

you have to rename the SAV. File ,too......imo

Maybe if it's a patched rom, the SAV File has to be "special",too?

Sometimes. Depends on the patch and game.

Actually, don't. Get a clean ROM of the game and verify its checksums. Then try again. Could be a corrupted ROM, my AK2i corrupted a ROM on me once. Patches are NEVER needed on an AK2i.

^ Not usually. Even patched ROM's typically share the same SAV's with the originals.

The are errors with some pokemon games and the AK2i not saving properly
